Self-Injury Poetry

Here are poems I've written and found that relate to self injury. Poetry is beautiful, and I feel helps to convey the true, deep feelings of one's soul in anguish, pain, or any major emotion. The poems found here are moving and painful.

If you have self-injury poetry that you have written or found and would like to share, please email me with them and I will gladly add them. This page needs submissions, so please don't be shy.

I've included the email addresses of the poets, if they so wish, so that you may contact them and tell them how much you liked their poetry. Poems written by me are written under my poet-penname of "Seether".

In Love with the Pain
Stay cold
crazy weather
because I can’t show
the new pain
I’ve inflicted upon myself
to cure the pain.
Am I wrong?
I love it!
I love this pain
and I love my own blood
bleeding my pain away.
I’ve fallen back.

~ Seether

This Helps
Help me.
I can only cut myself
because there is no one else
to help me
but me.
And this helps.

~ Seether

The Wooden Door
A quiet shadow with much to hide
A look that's polished, to life she lied
Inside the scars they die away
To him there's so much more to say

Outside the cracks for all to see
All filled with dreams for her to be
One who knows of all she hides
One who seeks through trying times

Within the world is full of holes
Of waking days and drifting souls
How deep the tears in every piece
Of splinters sharp, of seeking peace

Under the wood hides a heart filled with tears
The planted seed that grew secret fears
His hand that led her to this place
Now nothing more than another face

When mornings rise she shuts it out
Inside the thoughts all full of doubt
The lock that keeps her safe and sound
Of the key that someone close has found

Alone at night he turns the key
This wooden door so much like me
All feelings in, the shadows hide
This so called life, much hurt inside.
