China Silk Road 中国丝绸之路
On 5th April 2000, with only a guide book- China by Rail and some information download from Internet site Passplanet

We started off our ambitious North West adventure in sweeping across nearly 70% of China in 3 weeks time which ended at 25th April 2000. Unfortunately, April wasn't a good month to travel to this part of China which still in its windy and dry spring season. We experienced various climates from sandy dust storm, cold Northwest desert wind to snowy weather.

Nevertheless, it turned out to be a richly rewarding trip. China with its remarkable ages old historical remains, awesome landscapes, enriching cultural heritage and last but not least the assorted mouth watering local delicacies is definitely one of a value for money places to visit.
