Jay has been long associated with Saturday Evenings and playing early Rock 'N Roll music, having started "Solano Gold" on KUIC (Vacaville, CA) May 5, 1984, a program that lasted exactly two years.
From there, Jay moved his Saturday Night 'oldies' format to Napa Valley's KVYN where, on August 8, 1987, "The GoldVine" was born."
He left KVYN in 1996, and after a nearly five year stint at Sacramento's "Cool 101.1, Good Time Oldies" (KHYL), and the two year hiatus that followed, Jay returned to KVYN in November 2003 to begin his stint as Morning DJ. It was at that time "The GoldVine" returned, also.
