The Jay Arnold Homepage
He had turned 19 just four days before, and Jay Arnold made his first on-air exposure as a newsreader at Stockton, CA's San Joaquin Delta College Radio (KSJC) in September 1980. A month later, 'DJ Jay' began his professional radio career at KWG. Less than two years later, he became morning-drive personality at nearby KWIN, the first of three morning gigs in his career.

An adult-contemporary deejay for much of his career, Jay has long been associated with Saturday Evenings and playing early Rock 'N Roll music. He created and hosted SOLANO GOLD on KUIC May 5, 1984, which aired exactly two years.

Jay then moved his Saturday Night 'oldies' show, rechristened JAY ARNOLD'S GOLDVINE, to Napa Valley's KVYN in 1987. Since then, Jay has interviewed diverse  hitmakers including Frankie Laine (a most memorable 2-hour interview on May 27, 1995), Bobby Goldsboro, Judy Collins, Johnny Rivers, Christopher Cross, Johnny Colla of Huey Lewis And The News, and Paul Revere of The Raiders, among many others.

In January 1997, Jay began his nearly five-year stint at Sacramento's KHYL, aka COOL 101.1, GOOD TIME OLDIES, three of those years on Saturday nights. He was Arbitron-rated Number-One with 'Jukebox Saturday Night' (1998-1999) and 'The Saturday Night Jammin' Party' (1999-2001).

After a two-year break, Jay returned to KVYN as Morning DJ in 2003. The Saturday-night GOLDVINE also returned.

For the week of March 12, 2007, Jay returned to Oldies radio, as midday-DJ at KOMY 1340 in the Monterey Bay Area. Jay worked alongside legendary afternoon-DJ John Mack Flanagan. Until October 19, 2008, John hosted the daily "Timeline" and two weekend "Beatles" features on KFRC, where he gained his initial fame on Bay Area radio in the 1970s.
