People / My camel was so very well-behaved. This picture was taken about 6 or 7 years ago, on what will remain a very vivid excursion in my memory. One of our guys had a loose saddle, and I remember his camel galloping past us at a breakneck speed as the guy hollered "help" from a 45 degree angle off the side of the camel. Finally, he fell to the ground, the saddle spun to the underbelly of the camel, and the camel went wild, kicking and making horrible noises. Everyone else's camel became upset, and started running off into the desert. People were scattering in all directions. My camel (I think this was Michael Jackson) was so good, though, and I galloped off to people, grabbing their reins and calming down their camels. I can't be sure who actually took this picture. It was difficult to hand off a camera while riding without an accident. I had already dropped my camera earlier, and the UV filter cracked. No real harm was done, although there's still sand in the zoom lens, and I never take a really good camera to Egypt anymore.
