Places / Fez is different from Marrakesh, but equally fascinating. I traveled with some New Zeelanders and Aussies and one South African. We had met on the platform of the night train to Marrakesh. The Aussies didn't make it to Fez with us because one of them had fallen ill with some unknown stomach ailment. She may have had extreme heat exhaustion. After all, we had been stomping around Marrakesh in 110 degree heat all day when she fell ill. So, the Kiwis and the South African and I wended our way toward Fez. We arived by train early in the morning, negotiated for a hotel just inside the city gate of the Souk, and went for a stroll after a quick wakeup shower. We passed this door on our jaunt.
