People / Cristy Wilkerson, on the far left of the "harem" is one of my closest friends. I rarely have a chance to see her, and we don't even have very similar personalities. We're separated by some 25 years, and by the miles betwen Michigan and Georgia. Still, if I had a daughter, I would want her to be like Cristy. I would want her to be smart and kind and good and fun to hang out with, and thoughtful and careful and meticulous and just a little, little bit wild. I would want her to have Cristy's capacity for hope. Cristal, Stacey, Nick, Jennie, Susan, Andrea and I fill out Nick's harem. I think that Nick is wearing my scarf in order to look like a Turk, but it does make him blend in more with the girls, doesn't it?
