How it All Started

        How it All Started

I got Daisy when I was twelve years old, she was five months. She lived in Watson Lake with my aunty and uncle, my uncle said that she was to yappy, so my aunty gave her to me (afterwards he was like "How come you gave away my dog?" to my aunty, hehehe). Dog weren't allowed in their house, and since cattledogs are social animals and need to have regular interaction with their people, she was yappy out of lonelyness. (Classic example of those whose should *NOT* have an ACD) At the time her name was Dutchess, which simply would not do, so I changed it to Daisy the May came afterward. Actually when I was first considering names it was suggested that I name her Dazy, but I thought Daisy would be nicer. Afterwards when another uncle of mine, who is a great cattledog owner (they're the only kind of dogs he'll get) he called her Daisy May, like that character in that cartoon from way back when, called Lil' Abner. At the time I lived on Vancouver Island, so Daisy made the transition from yappy yukoner to yappy amphibian-dog. I didn't know a thing about ACDs, or Blue Heelers as I knew them then, but surprisingly Daisy never became a terror, she just chewed up the floor in my room, no biggy. lol. Now we live up in Whitehorse, Yukon again where we were both born. We'll be starting obedience soon Well, that's all I can think of now.
