Here is an old post. I used pic 16c84 in this project. It may be replaced with pic 16f84.

Transmitter

Transmitter schematic diagram is shown in figure 3.

C1 - not used in this version (short circuit it)

C2 - 0.1 uF

C3 - 470 uF (electrolytic)

Diodes:

D1-D2 - CQY99 (Infra Red light emitting diodes)

Resistors:

R1 - not used in this version

R2 - 51 Ohm

R3 - 1 kOhm

Miscellaneous:

U1 - PIC16C71 programmed with transmitter code

S1-S3 - normally open pushbutton switches
