Now that all the fifth years have taken their O.W.L.'s, which N.E.W.T. courses will they take next year? Well, I assume that N.E.W.T. classes begin next year anyway.

Harry

• Since Harry wants to be an Auror, he needs to take Defense Against the Dark Arts, Transfiguration, Charms, and Potions.
• He will definitely take Defense Against the Dark Arts because he got an "Outstanding" on his O.W.L.'s.
• I think he did well enough on his transfiguration exam to obtain an "Exceeds Expectations."
• I think he did just fine on charms judging by the description in the book about his written exam (mentioning Wingardium Leviosa) and his practical.
• As for Potions, I think he may only have been able to pull an Acceptable or Exceeds Expectations, but we know that Snape won't take anyone who didn't get an Outstanding...

• She hasn't decided on a career yet, so I can't say much about what classes she will take.
• I'm sure that Hermione got an Outstanding on every exam, so no matter what career she picks, she'll be able to get the class.
• The only thing she may not have gotten an Outstanding on is Astronomy, but they were distracted for a good reason.

• There's not a lot of information about how Ron did on his exams or what his career choice was.
• He might want to become an Auror like Harry, or he could join Fred and George at their joke shop.
• I'm sure Ron did well on his Defense Against the Dark Arts test since he has been helping Harry and joined the D.A.
