Job Searching

Let's face it. Hunting a job for an international student with an LLM degree is difficult, if not impossible.

First, start your job searching as soon as possible. It is hard to balance study and job searching, as well as adjusting to the new life in the US, but ...it is the right thing to do.

Write your resume and start networking and let people know that you are in search of a job or an internship, which is a good beginning of your legal career. You don't have to start from a law firm. An internship with an organization is not bad, for instance.

Search for information on legal recruiting, law firms and international organizations. Talk to people in your field and try to meet them for information and advice, or a possible position.

The process can be no doubt tiring. But the more you work on it, the better result you can expect.

Remember: Nothing in the world will take the place of persistence. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. Happy hunting!
