Chile!
Chile is considered the Swiss of South America. It is a beautiful country great for camping and tracking. I traveled in Chile most of the time with Tomer and Lior, but I started alone. The picture is of active volcano Vilarica. My first view of Chile out of the capital Santiago.
I did not give up climbing that volcano. I never say NO to an possible adventure. Well, it looked easy to climb, but you never reach the top.
But I did finally reach it when the clouds where well below me.
This is the sine of one of the National Parks. The Vilarica volcano is at the horizon.
As I reached my second week of my trip, Chile did not bore me in anyway. I encountered new sines everyday. And except for that one cloud that kept chasing us with rain, the weather was wonderful.
I continued south and reached Torres Del Pine national park. I tracked there with Tomer for 5 days. Unfortunately I forgot my camera when I climbed to the Torres. This is a picture of the park with it's lake's amazing the silver color.
South... there was Puerto Arenas. The south most I ever got. There were the cute penguin, of course.
The day before Lior and me took a boat ride to Laguna San Rafael we had our great adventure at nature.
On arrival to the laguna we were lowered to the small life boat. It was terrible weather! Raining and freezing. But the Brandy was a life saver.
Then came the the amazing views of icebergs made us forget all our worries.
Finally, a view of just a road. The locals didn't understand what is the big deal.
