Notes from the Journey....
Welcome to my site!  Thank you for your interest in the ministry with the Deaf and what went on as I was on mission in the Dominican Republic.  I pray that God will bless you as you serve Him in your mission field, wherever that may be!  He sure blessed me, and I thank you for praying as I served.

For more info on the Journeyman program or how you can serve as a short-term/career missionary overseas, OR how you can be a stateside advocate for foreign missions, please click on the link "YOU on mission."
This just in:
As of 6/7/04 Amy and Dillon have celebrated their FIRST ANNIVERSARY!
God truly works in mysterious (and sometimes, funny) ways!!

Things to pray about:
     1.
Thank you for praying for our ministry and for me as I spent some valuable years in the D.R.
     2.   Continue to pray for
the Deaf Christians in the D.R. It's tough not knowing how they are doing since communication is limited.
     3.
Stan and Lynn are still busy in El Salvador and surrounding areas.  Please check their website for specific needs.
     4.
Me, as I cope with the changes in my life.  A lot has happened in the past year:  marriage, the loss of my mom, and being back in the States.  It's been bittersweet.  I also hope to start a new job as a sign language interpreter with the Plano Independent School District soon!

WELCOME TO THE D.R.!!  :-)

*I lived in
La Vega.
*
Santiago is where lovely letters and packages from you arrived, and where we did most shopping
*
Moca is just south of that.    *Santo Domingo is the capital, and where all the good stuff is (Outback, TGI Fridays, Tony Roma's) and Bonao lies between there and La Vega.
