Treehouse: A Magical Climb To The Top
6/7/02 1:42am
When one steps away from the busy course of their college lives, it becomes clearly evident how profoundly influenced each of us are by the friends we make and the happiness and laughters that are derived from them. As Spring semester 2002 draws to a close, I would like to take this opportunity to share my gratitude, admiration, and loyalties to the friends that made this year an unforgettable one.

A Magical Climb to the Top: Treehouse
Spring always seems to bring something interesting to my life. In hindsight, its clear to me that Spring brought forth a special bond that would only be found in a magical setting known as the Treehouse. It sits high above the tallest of the trees, overlooking the Ferrel Center which casts an illuminating dome of riches and gold. The Treehouse reminds me of the laughters and joys I havn`t felt since I was a youngster; the simple joys in life that came from riding bikes, sharing jokes, playing video games, swimming in the pool, or climbing trees. Ofcourse, what is a special treehouse without friends to share it with?
Roll Call:
Lori - You are one of the few people in this world that can make whining and crying like a baby into a source of laughter. We are all blessed to have you in our company, and eventhough you bring us certain hardships ("damn princess"), you serve as a vital buffer when some of us get caught up in unnecessary bickering. As far as you being YMB emotional, it only adds to your already colorful personality. You`ve tested my patience on several occasions, but its hard getting mad at you because of those puppy eyes of yours. But don`t think you can get away with everything; mean Jun has the capability of makingany girl cry. Don`t ever forget that. Until that day comes, you will remain the core influence in the kinship of our loving Treehouse.
Eugene - For the longest time, we`ve been acquaintances; but only after you came to Baylorand I was able to witness your generosity and hospitality first hand, was I able to call you a true friend. We`ve shared moments during our finest hour, yet you`ve been there for me during my weakest hour. I`ll never forget your words of encouragement, and the Treehouse crew will never forget everything you`ve done for us. I`m glad you`ve found a new home at Baylor - we are quite fortunate to have you.
Johnny - I know we`ve had our share of conflicts in the past, and we`ve been through some emotional hell because of it. In retrospect, I feel that its only brought us closer as friends. Its been great seeing you in a more jovial manner these days, and I hope it continues throughout our college lives. Furthermore, you`ve helped bring many good times to the Treehouse crew, and we`re always thankful of that. Through the good days and the bad, we`ll always be there to assist you. Focus a little more on school, and I know you have a bright future ahead of you.
Bobo - You`ve brought us so much joy in such a short span of time. While you spend your summer away in a distant land, know that we all cherish the distinct bobo humor that has enriched our lives this past semester. I went to you when things were bothering me, and somehow, you made me forget all those negative feelings I washarboring. You gave off an aura of good-naturedness that made it so easy to talk to you. Its even easier to make fun of you, and sometimes a little laughter is all we really need. I`m relieved that we`ve finally moved past the initial awkward "Jap Crap" stage, and now you are one of my closest buddies (as long as you lay off the booze).
Sandra - To me, college life would have been inconcievable without you by my side; almost to a point where I`m willing to just throw out the whole `history is vital` scenario. But rest assured, we are in the stage of our lives where history is currently being established. I know one day we`ll look back at our college lives and laugh are @sses off - at how silly we were, how naive we were, or how insane our quirky antics were. It has been a rocky semester for us, and I take most of that blame. I just hope you understand that all this adversity we`ve been through will one day stand as a testament for what true friendship is all about. With the newly formed THC by our side, all of our insecurities/fears will become nonexistent; instead replaced by the laughters and joys that each of us are capable of.
