Top Ten Specific Rules:
- All Top Ten players are to be at open tables accepting challenges from
all players if not in tournament.
- Top ten players can play other players (including other top ten players)
up to 3 times per day.
- The only position that is bump-free is the #2
position. #1 should not play #3 or #4 until the challenge match with
#2 has taken place. (See Challenge Match rules)
- Any player in the Top Ten
found to be avoiding challenges will be deranked to the bottom of the
ladder.
- Rank order for multiple challenges. Refusal to allow for up opportunities
will call for removal from Top Ten.
- Any Top Ten player, regardless
of rank, who is idle for 24
hours will be deranked ten rungs.(i.e. not 1.0 days)
- No player in the Top Ten will be allowed to change their
account name for any reason.
- Tournament play is exempt from all top ten rules,
Top ten players are not allowed to ask to be deranked until after tournament
reports are done, except in situation where it is a Cases technical
difficulty.
- All players ranked in the Top Ten will show the utmost
respect for all members of this league at all times. Failure to follow
this rule is enough to remove you from your Top Ten position
to the bottom of the ladder.
- All derankings will be to the BOTTOM OF THE
LADDER, except for being idle for 1.0 days.
- In order to keep the TT from
stagnating, if two members of the same household are in the TT, one must
ask to be deranked, or the one with the lowest rank will be deranked.
- Rank Hounding: Players in the Top Ten are expected to be as active after
they reach the top ranks as they were before. In other words, if you
are playing 20 games a day to make it to the Top Ten and then only play
a few games a day to hold your rank you may be penalized.
Championship Match Specific Rules:
- The
game shall be set in a best (2) two out of (3) three format, with the
#1 player making the first table, #2 making the second table, and #1
making the third table if necessary.

#1 and #2 cannot select their partners from the top five players for the
Championship Match. Doing so will result in the deranking
of the the offending #1 or #2 player.
- #1 and #2 must select
partners for the championship match who have a minimum of 100 games
with mountain euchre. Failure to do so will result in the deranking
of the the offending #1 or #2 player.
- It
is the responsibility of the #1 player to set the challenge with #2. An
agreed time will be determined and the match will be played as soon
as possible. The championship match should take place that day, or
the next day if that is not possible. Once the challenge match has
been played, #1 and #2 must field all challenges from players until
the change-over time of 3 am (est). At this time the #2 position is
again protected.
- If
#1 is found to have undermined this process, he/she will be deranked
to the bottom of the ladder.
- If
#1 or #2 are unable to play each other on the first or second day,
the one at fault may be deranked.
