After studying of about 1 year, I roughly know what is all about tourism industry. Then, I worked with the local association of travel agents as an admin officer in their subsidiary, a training center. However, things do not turn up to what I expected; when the change of the key persons in the association, everything also changed. I really felt upset on this. Therefore, I left the company after serving of about 1 and half year. Then, I worked with one of the famous local tour operators for about 4 years. In fact, I'm tired of working with travel agents anymore, as most of them are more concern about working experience rather than paper qualification. Due to this, I decided to further my study to Master Degree with University of Malaya since June 2003. I have just finished my Master in Applied Statistics begining of 2005 and currently employed as a full-time lecturer at Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman.
In actual fact, my dream is to be a lecturer but I would like to explore myself with the real working life out there. So that, I would be able to consult my students of what they actually need and what is suitable for them. I don't want to be a lecturer who just know how to stand in front of the lecture hall and read out the notes, and students just copy what I say then go for exam. Besides, I would like to become a part-time photographer and travel writer. That would be what I want to do next.
