It seems men easily prefer
courtesy and compromise -
the least bit taken there,
until they come here -
until the veil of safety
retreats first to rudeness
then this cloth yellow star,
then this frozen red star,
perhaps a geometric eye,
all leading to a 'better way'
with men so eager to flee
from one tyrant to another,
pushed by so many shills
who make it come to pass,
well, after the awful victory
you always hear quite a tale
from the survivors.
