Love is the greatest freedom,
Not the fruit of selfish ways -
Which hide in private fantasies
And clutch despairing days -
Nor the modern's narrowed liberty -
But some artless wicked passion
Crouched beneath the latest phrase -
Nor the hopeless will to sin.
 
Love is our fullest surrender
To His Word, and not this Age -
Which grimly begs for wisdom
Locked in satan's brittle cage -
To the cross we each must carry -
But His loving task from heaven
Blessed by others desperate rage -
To the simple gift of freedom.
 
Love is the greatest miracle.
