Professional Interests

I am a biologist and I have worked in the Dominican Republic in numerous conservation and resource management projects.  In particular, I have a lot of experience working in coastal and marine ecosystems.  Besides the biological aspects of such areas, I am interested in the people living in rural coastal communities in my country, especially the changes brought by tourism to their livelihoods, customs, and survival.
