ABOUT ME:
WELCOME to my website! This site was created in 2001 by myself and aims to provide some basic economic information and analyses to try to explain and improve the real world independently and objectively.

Mike Y.M. NG is currently Senior Dealer (Officer 3) of East Asia Securities Department of the Bank of East Asia, Limited (BEA) (00023). He has over 8 years' business experience, including 4 years in the financial services industry. He has worked across Hong Kong, Mainland China (2002-03) and the Middle East (2001). Prior to joining BEA, he worked for Cheung Ngai Knitting Factory Limited, the Hong Kong Trade Development Council and Tanrich Financial Holdings Limited (00812), in which the former was established by his grandfather in the late 1930s. He has also held shares and non-executive directorship of Cheung Ngai. Mike spent 7.5 years (half a year at the University of Oklahoma, USA) on his study in the United Kingdom. He received a BA in Economics from UCE in Birmingham and an MSc in Business Economics (Grade A in MSc Dissertation) from the University of Buckingham. His research interests include macroeconomics, labour markets and stocks/futures investments. He has been a Full Member of the Society of Business Economists, UK and an Ordinary Member of the Hong Kong Economic Association. He also holds the Hong Kong Statistical Society (Equivalent to the Royal Statistical Society, UK) Level 1 Qualification.

In Mike's spare time, he actively takes part in various sporting activities, particularly athletics and weight-training. He has been a serious track & field athlete for 17 years and joined several local and overseas athletics clubs. In 1995, he was ranked in the Sussex County Top 10 under 20 in Long Jump, UK. He currently belongs to the athletics team of South China Athletic Association (SCAA) (1992-93 & 2003-Present). He also enjoys reading economic, historical and Christian materials and regularly uses the Internet/E-mail. He loves travelling, too.

In October 1997, God brought Mike and Hazel together. They met each other in Birmingham Chinese Methodist Church (BCMC), UK, especially that they served God together in the Young Adults and Youths Fellowship. They later attended Buckingham Evangelical Church, UK for 2 years. They believe that they love because God first loved them. They now attend Shatin Alliance Church in Hong Kong. On 10 May 2003, they got married for the glory of God.
