The bo staff may seem like a primitive weapon, but in trained hands it can be devastating. It's been in use since ancient times. This picture was taken from Imperial Weapons.com. I'm not selling bo staves, I am just using the picture to show you what some may look like. They can be made out of very many different materials, from wood to metal to various polymers. The staff on the far left is 7' long and is made of wax wood. The next three (from left to right) are all 6' rattan staves. The first is plain rattan, the next is rattan with the skin still on. The last has a pattern burned onto it. The next three are all 6' red oak. The first one is a tapered red oak, which means the diameter of the staff diminishes slightly at the ends. The next is plain, and the next is tapered red oak with a toothpick design, which just means that the taper is more extreme. The next two are 6' acrylic, which is a polymer (plastic). The first is plain, the second has a twist design in it. The black one next to them is 6' long and is foam-padded. This one is used for training so that blows do not hurt as much. The next six are the same as the first six 6' staves, except that they are 5'. The same goes for the last six, save for that they are 4' long.
