Hari Nam Singh Khalsa is both director and principal instructor at Yoga Heaven. He has been studying and practicing Kundalini Yoga since 1977. Hari Nam is certified to teach by the International Kundalini Yoga Teachers Association.

Born and raised in the New York City metropolitan area, Hari Nam has had a varied and successful educational and professional  background. He has earned his degrees at the University of Maryland (B.A., Political Science),  St. John's University (J.D., Law), University of San Diego (LL.M., Taxation), College for Financial Planning (C.F.P.), and Lewis and Clark College (M.A., Counseling Psychology).

Through the years, Hari Nam has been an attorney, financial investment advisor, photographer, crisis hotline counselor and even a New York City cabdriver. Currently, Hari Nam is director of The Center for Existential and Spiritual Counseling, which promotes a "meaning-based" approach to individual and couples counseling.

Hari Nam has countless passions in life, to name a few: the New York Yankees, Frank Sinatra, The Metropolitan Opera, Oregon Duck Football, politics, Spanish, salsa dancing, Miles Davis, Seinfeld, mountain climbing, modern art and good Italian food.

Other than his longing for the divine, Hari Nam's greatest passion in life is for his remarkable wife, Kulwant Kaur Khalsa, who hails from beautiful Mazatlan, Mexico. They built their relationship without the benefit of speaking each other's native tongue, proving the ultimate power of faith and true love.

Hari Nam Singh is an ordained minister in the Sikh faith. He is also a member of Khalsa Council, which is the governing body for Sikh Dharma in the Western Hemisphere.
