Volume 4                                                                                                                                                                Number 1

Fair Even Cutters!
You have just stumbled upon the scrap that is known as the Planescape Notes!  This is the notes and reminders of Yogi's Planescape campaign.  You'll be well lanned after a good read of this, and be far less clueless.  This is the fourth rendition of this chant- breaker, saying we've been around a while, and for that, we're now on-line.  I'm also looking for some help in the future.  See Jo-Ann's Bulletin Board below.

I. Role Call
This is where we meet the heros of Yogi's Cornell campaign, affectionately known as the Tagalong Game.  We'll go by seniority...
Teb - Talkative halfling with a gem stuck in his head and quip on his lips.  Played by Rob (R-Bradshaw@cornell-iowa.edu).
Melane - Beautiful woman with an axe and a universe to test it against.  Played by Marie (redkestral@juno.com)
Glaradrin - Everyone's favorite Man in a Dark Cloak who Sits in Corners and Glowers.  NPC.
Xander - Quick spoken elven bard who loves to play with his magic.  Played by Nick
(N-Bittle@cornell-iowa.edu).
Morningstar - Human ex-bodyguard with an introspective eye.  Played by Dan
(d-blackwell@cornell-iowa.edu).
AJ - Ex-gladiator looking to enjoy his life of freedom.  Played by Phil
(P-Armellino@conell-iowa.edu).
Quell'Ach - Human raised elf who is interested in his roots.  Played by Tommy
(White_Mage_256@hotmail.com).
Ed - Priest of Athena fascinated by her war aspect.  Played by Mike.

II. Where was I?
This is for comparison for Yogi's other campaigns.  This is the year Hashkar 126 (for those on Sigilian calendars), approximately 6 months after the completion of the Great Modron March, and about two and a half years since the original swallowing of Plague-Mort.  For those keeping track, that is about four and a half since a certain elf and his party first accidentally used rotten pomegranates to go to Baator...

III. When we last saw our heros...
This section is usually the most interesting.  This is where you see the DM's picture of what happened in the last session.  Usually very interesting, and funny :) For this, I will write from prospective of the Clueless berks, so as not to shed too much light on the dark...
A party of 6 primes (Morningstar, AJ, Quell'Ach, Ed, a priest of Hermes, and a young human bard) were gathered together on their prime world of Tailith by a man in shadows who wanted them to complete a task for him.  They were to go into a little known dungeon, and given exact directions through it to find a fist sized jewel somewhat like an opal, take a few more exact turns, and open a magic portal using a doorknob (taken by AJ), go through the portal, go down two blocks to the left in the city they appeared in, find a small shop surrounded by rich establishments, find him within, and deliver the jewel.  All without touching the jewel (he also gave them a specific bag, now held by Morningstar.
After being told where exactly to go, but having no clues as to the dangers, they started their trek.  They found the dungeon, and got through the first section rather easily.  Then, a cave in hit hard.  Both the cleric of Hermes and the bard were fully squashed.  The rest barely escaped, but were now blocked into the cave.  Just as they were catching their collective breath, they saw a strange blue shimmering from a hole above, reflecting off the stones of a higher tunnel leading down.  Then, they heard something go Fwwmf! up there.  They stepped away from the hole, expecting something to fall on them.  Immediately after, another, louder blomph occurred, and more tumbling toward the mouth of the above tunnel, but barely stopping before they could see what fell.  Then there was another one, but this one was saying something in an elven dialect not easily understood, rolled down the above tunnel, then hit the thing right by the edge, sending them both down into the middle of the party.  With now light upon them, they could see a dark, cloaked figure lying upon another figure, clearly an elf, in purple.  The dark figure almost immediately rolled up, flipped to a standing post, as was ready with a throwing dagger ready as the fourth and final tumble was heard from above.  The last tumble stopped before falling into this cavern.
The group was stunned, and Morningstar immediately reached to help the purple-clad elf.  Grunting up, the elf said hello in a very friendly way (after shooting an interesting look over at the cloaked one), and asked if they were the ones he and his group were there to help.  The primes looked at each other confusedly.  After a few minutes of conversation (including Xander catching a rock thrown at him, Melane and Teb both climbing down from above, and Glaradrin actually putting away his weapon).  The groups introduced themselves, and they decided to continue on together, with most of the planars still not quite sure where they were going.
After a ways, the came to a large Chasm, about 30 feet actoss.  On the other side, they saw two out routes, connected to each other by a straight (not sagging) 2-by-4.  They did eventually get to the otherside (using a solution that involved Xander growing wings by spell, and a rope tied at one end and anchored by Morning Star on the other; he had to swing on the rope, into the cliff side).  However, while the party was still moving across, the undead skeletons from further down the passageway (they went down the left, as their mysterious benefactor had told them).  As that fight started, the zombies on the other side started showing up and coming across on the 2-by-4.  Fight happened.  The heros one, but the fight was highlighted by the following: Melane fighting many skeletons alone, too far ahead of the party, Glaradrin repeatedly accidentally cutting his friends, A.J. repeatedly getting pushed back by a magic 2-by-4 (and nearly going off into the chasm), and many zombie tumbling into the chasm due to a well placed grease spell.  Once collected again, and some healing administered, the group started back down the correct passageway (or so they thought).  Thus, the session was brought to a close, to be continued.

IV. When we next meet...
This will remind players (and the DM) when we game next.  In the case of the Tagalong game, that will be Sunday, October 3rd at 1 P.M. in Pfiffer Lounge.  The DM will be there about an hour early, for those who have character stuff they want to deal with :)

V. Bazaar Bargins

In this section, we detail a shop or seller or other person found within Sigil, usually in the Great Bazaar.  However, this time, we talk about someone who keeps shop in the Lady's Ward: "Sly" Nye.
"Sly" Nye has a small office in the Lady's Ward.  "Sly" Nye is an Xaositect.  "Sly" Nye is a lawyer.  "Sly" Nye argues in the City Courts in front of Guvner judges.  "Sly" Nye knows that they don't like it when he uses his chaos imps and ion stones and darkness ability and scramblespeak and Babble ability while arguing cases.  "Sly" Nye wins his cases though.  "Sly" Nye knows he is annoying and egotistical, but "Sly" Nye doesn't care.  "Sly" Nye just wins.

VI. Jo-Ann's Bulletin Board
This is another great section.  This is the announcement board at Jo-Ann's, a planar inn located in Sigil that is just a bit famous by now with most of the characters (especially one who just had to swing on the chandeliers after one hit him in the head).  Here is what is up right now, starting with Jo-Ann's own original opening and ending.

I place this board up with yet no responsibility for what gets put on it.  I make only two rules in regards to this board.  One, I want nothing promising or directly causing violence.  Two, no extreme factional screed.  A little word her or there is fine.  But this ain't you soddin' podium.  Just use it to get in contact with other cutters, or spread general messages.  If not, Downbeat will make your brain-box into mush.  Thanks, and hope this is good.
                                                                             Jo-Ann

That goes double from me, plus Tokkon will want a piece of you too!
                                                                             Mara

    Hey cutters,
I'm looking for players interested in adding to the Yogiland website.  Any thoughts
on how to expand to keep each of you involved?  Let me know.

                                                                             Transcendent Order

    Planescrapers and Slashers,
I'm going to really hit the PS part of my site again.  I'll be re-doing the campaign
sections, and in a couple of weeks, I'll ask you for feelings at the end.  This includes
where they are now segment.  Start thinking about it now.  I'll want answers
    later.
                                                                             The Old GM

    Mike,
We need to finish details for you character and get you back up to speed.  When
    can we meet.
                                                                             The Yog-ster

Do you want to say something clever, useful, or just put something on the board.  Then give it to the management, and it will be posted.  Or you can post it yourself.  Just let us know.

VII.  Footnote
Keep safe all of you.  A planewalker doesn't always get many friends, and each of those is very important.  Never forget that, wherever you may roam (and regardless of portal lag).
