Hi
again, cutters!
Yeah, I know it's been a while, but here I am. The Harmonium has
been cracking down recently, and we had to be quiet buzy (and only a Clueless
would think that should be busy). Anyway, my chant mongers are out
there, watching some key groups, and it's even beeter now that I have a
spiv in the group now to help peel the dark for us. Let's watch as
the darks of all the fellows out there go down. Anyway, I lost my
previous scribe in the troubles, so don't be suprised if things are misspelled.
*heh* [Note, anything in these brackets are DM/editor speak, so the rag
doesn't actually say this part]
I. Role Call
Since the last Notes I got out, the group has significantly changed.
I've only been able to trace a single member of the group (and he/she changed
majorly too). At least he/she's looking for the others, so we can
have this clear. Anyway, the current group is as follows (this isn't
complete, but I'm going purely off what I've heard):
Teb - We he once was the trickly little halfling thief, but SHE mysteriously
appeared
on an alter in the Gates of the Moon, with her mind mostly intact (except
most
of her previous life's details), except only in the form of a female water
genasi.
[Played
by Rob]
Farla - Female human devotee of Selune, out to help Teb reclaim her previous
life.
[Played
by Marie]
Millet - a female elf who seems to have extreamly vocal magic and a little
red
bird
on her shoulder. [Played by Tommy]
A planewalking aasimar male bard/priest of the tricky Hermes who seems
slightly
sexist
and loud. [Played by Nick]
A female tiefling thief/warrior who hates law, pushing her towards the
Doomguard.
[Played by Corey]
A Minotaur who falls from the sky and seems to be a Clueless in every sense
on
the
word. [Played by Mike]
A Halfling associate of Teb's guild who seems extreamly interested in the
current
events.
[Played by Phil]
II. When was I?
It is currently the first month of the 128th year of factol Hashkar of
the Guvners. This is now the eigth year since I once accompanied
an elf, human, and giant from the prime sphere of Toril to Sigil through
Baator.
III. When we last saw
our heros...
I should state that these reports posted are from my agents and my own
personal observations. They don't know exactly who I am, or why I
might be interested in them, but I'm sure you all know, and can properly
make use of this scouting chant.
Anyway, apperently Teb awoke within the Gates, trying to figure out what
happened. He remember his group striving to beat someone, a dead
god, or previously dead god, to something important, a wand of some sort,
that housed part of his soul and energy. The previously dead god
apperently was responsable for the death of other powers, the same thing
you were hearing from all the Lost keep babbling on about. The portal
to the Infinite Staircase still had ten days until opening (apperently
the party was just gettin' goin'), and before then, she prepared to find
her old companions, or at least their remains. In this persuit
he got jink, gear, and a travelling companion, Farla, who had a private
breifing with final chant before they left.
When the door opened to the Stairway, they headed up, heading for Sigil
(or so they said). The next place they turned up was actually the
Planewalker's Guild. After talking with Hav'run Thain, the leader
of the Planewalker's Guild [NOTE: DM had name wrong. This is correct
name.] and his ever present kender henchman Vagis, they pair of women went
to talk with a small group between adventures that was apperently recommended
by Hav'run. This group, the elf, tiefling, and aasimar mentioned
in the Role-Call, was found to be having a battle musical competition while
the tiefling and aasimar taunting each other. After a brief negotiation
period, they agreed to join forces for an expedition to Sigil, to where
Teb's guild is.
They set off to the new portal from the Staircase from Sigil brought them
into a suspended golden door and frame in the Goldworks of the Great foundry
(since moved to a separate room, and don't even think about it. I've
already sold Lesandra the chant). From what I hear, they didn't all
escape completely healthy, but with a minimum of trouble. Following
their being gotten rid of by the Godsmen, the made their way to Jo-Ann's,
just inside the Great Bazaar, and wigwagged a bit with Mara. While
the tiefling nearly got in big trouble with Tokkon, the wemic bouncer,
but got smart with some prompting.
Following this stop, their ride was supposed to take them to the Guild,
however, they got in other trouble with a vendor who turned out to be a
Cornugon (note, forget previous report on the Styx water dealer, and find
out what it was up to!) that involved his whip stunning the tiefling, stopped
flaming, got stolen by Teb, who carried it and jumped into/over a wall
of fire to escape with it, only to drop it when it started flaming again.
The fiend was not hurt at all, while the party was scattered. Farla
gathered them together in Jo-Ann's, except Teb, who headed straight to
the Guild (or if she did stop somewhere, it was for a really quick stop).
At the guild, he gained the group's other leader, that slut Quintina was
formally convinced the Teb was who she said she was (agents tell me it
had to do with Teb knowing the traps better than anyone else, even Quintina).
The rest of them got together there later, spent the night, and that is
where this report should end. However, a strange minotaur fell into
the middle of the guild this morning. More than that, my agents haven't
had time to report. More details on that as soon as I find them out.
IV. When we next meet...
You know when, you know where. Bring the jink for your continued
subscriptions! [Ignore the previous; we next meet Sunday, September 17,
2000, at my house at 1 PM.]
VI. Bazaar Bargains
Well, it was going to be Armen Silversteam, the Styx water dealer, but
you read about him above. Send me the bargin makers you think will
be of some import, and I'll find the chant on them.
VII. Jo-Ann's Bulletin
Board
This previous feature is on hold. If you want to read it, go there
yourself! [NOTE: This is currently on hold, but hopefully soon, the ACTUAL
board will be put up in Planescape Central. If you have any cool
ideas to go with this, please let me know. Also, if you would like
to write some great ads for it, they will be posted]
VIII. The Portal Lag
My base is now established properly, so these reportsd should be more regular,
even though this one took me about two and a half hours to write.
Remember, I need to keep hearing from you all to make sure you're still
alive to receive these reports (we don't need to have extras blowing about,
should we?). [Thanks for the hope guys. I can't wait to hear what
you all think of this slight format change. I may alter some of the
older reports to match with this (our secret publisher has been around
for a while). Tell me what you think!
