::Chapter 2 - Badfly Claw::

I was lucky enough to obtain a 1973 December copy of Nakayoshi on Yahoo Japan. This particular issue featured the second chapter of Okazaki Yuu's Cutie Honey manga. Below is a summary with some scans. I couldn't scan the whole manga in fear of damaging my book. Please enjoy the scans, but  DON'T USE THEM WITHOUT MY PERMISSION. ::Summary::

The chapter opens with Sister Jill and Badfly Claw. She is given orders to capture Kisaragi Honey at Saint Chapel Academy. Seiji walks Honey home, and she thanks him for the fun she had. Seiji suggests staying to keep an eye on Honey. She tells him she's fine, and goes back to her room. Still worried, Seiji attempts to sneak on the campus. As he does this, Junpei and Danbei show up. They accuse Seiji of being a perverted, and the three get into an arguement. Badfly Claw appears with her minions. The Hayami family sneaks on the campus successfully. Junpei wonders what Honey wears to sleep: Pajamas? Negligee? Or nothing? (What a perverted kid!) Seiji notices Badfly Claw, and tries to climb up to Honey's room. A student sees him, and screams. The students run out of their rooms angry, mistaking Seiji for a pervert. Badfly Claw enters Honey's room demanding the Fixed System of Air Elements. Honey tells Natsuko (yup, she's there!) to hide, and she transforms into Cutie Honey. She sends Badfly Claw and her minions flying out the window with a "Honey Kick". Badfly lands on the Hayami family, and the angry students attack them. The police arrive, and the Hayami family is arrested. Honey visits them in jail, and calls Seiji a pervert. ::Thoughts:: As a huge Cutie Honey fan, this gem was a beautiful addition to my collection! The artwork is very old-school shojo, much like Rose of Versailles, or Haikara-san ga Tohru. Needless to say, the art is just beautiful. The story was cute, I was surprised at how comedic it was. I was surprised Badfly Claw wasn't killed, but instead beaten by angry students! Seiji and the Hayami family were very funny in this. You gotta love how much Seiji cares about Honey! I'd love to see the other chapters from this manga, but that's gonna be difficult. ::Scans:: Sister Jill orders Badfly Claw Honey thanks Seiji for "the fun she had today" (Fun? Like a date?)
