Season
Episode One: The Time Worms
The Professor, while struggling with an ancient manuscript called The Book of Living Shadows, accidentally summons creatures from beyond space and time which suck himself and several nearby persons into a fantastic secondary world.
Episode Two: The Dark Riders
Separated from the others, Sebastian uses his kendo skills to join the ranks of the wyvern-mounted Dark Riders at the Dark Fortress of the Dark Lord. He finds the repeating Dark theme a bit annoying, but soon finds out why it's neccessary. Sebastian also gets adopted by the Dark God, Voorlagg, an unimposing creature-under-the-floorboards that invokes more sympathy than menace.
Episode Three: The Goblin Market
Doc Norman grows closer to Mool Raunk, the beautiful Captain of the Free Elves, as he cares for her wounds and tries to find a scientific way around the mystic infertility which has plagued the species. In order to buy him time, the Professor and Miz Bell agree to join the Dark Army under Sebastian's new command.
Episode Four: The Slave Pits
Alarmed by the Professor's growing embrace of Dark Magic and Sebastian's gruesome execution of a rival to secure his command of the Dark Army, Miz Bell sneaks into the Dark Fortress alone. Although she successfully rescues the captive children of the Free Elves, she also learns that the supposedly-good-hearted Free Elves have a sinister agenda involving her own world.
(Pre-empted)
Episode Five: The Shadow Realm
The Dark Army marches on its own Dark Fortress as our heroes prepare for the final battle. However, the Dark Overlord seems a little too easy to defeat. Slowly, and to their growing horror, the Professor and the others discover the Dark Overlord's real plans for both worlds. Meanwhile, Miz Bell employs a dog-headed ferryman to reach the Mouth of Hell, in a race against time and the pursuing Free Elves.
