Bio
Mike is a Training Specialist at Towson University. He coordinates New Employee Orientation and the Building Bridges Across Maryland program. Mike also develops content for departmental workshops and for the certificate programs offered to staff.
He was a Learning Specialist at TD University, TD Bank's (formerly Commerce Bank's) unique corporate training facility located in Mount Laurel, NJ .
Mike worked to create innovative educational programs between Commerce/TD Bank and community organizations, high schools and universities. These programs provided students with the opportunity to experience a combination of college courses and those taught by business professionals. Mike designed and taught classes that aided students in developing the interpersonal skills necessary for success in today’s business world.
He’s a 1997 graduate of Temple University (PA). He earned a Graduate Certificate in Management and Leadership Development in January 2003 and a Master’s of Science degree in Human Resource Development in May of 2003 from Towson University (MD). In December 2005, he completed a certificate program in Non-profit Management from Burlington Community College (NJ).
He has experience in management and leadership development in non-profit, higher education and business organizations. He has been instrumental in developing the leadership skills of high school and college students, as well as community and church group members.
Mike spent five years as Programs Manager at The Leadership Institute at Towson University, located outside of Baltimore, Maryland. He has been an adjunct instructor at Cecil College and Harford Community College in Maryland where he has taught Interpersonal Communications and Speech Fundamentals. Mike is looking forward to teaching at Towson University this fall.
He has also served on the board of directors of a national non-profit organization, as the President of the Young Alumni Association at Temple University and currently serves as the Vice President of the Home Owners Association in his community.
Mike was born and raised in Philadelphia and currently resides in Elkton, MD
