Keweenaw Mountain Lodge -- Located a mile and a half south of Copper Harbor, the Lodge features a nine hole golf course. Built in 1933-35 by the Civilian Conservation Corps, the WPA project fashioned a beautiful golf course out of 167 acres of wilderness. The giant lodge was built with logs cleared to make the golf course. Keweenaw Mountain Lodge offers dining and nearly two dozen log cabins complete with living rooms and fireplaces.
Sand Hills Lighthouse at Five Mile Point -- This B&B is the largest and last lighthouse built on Keweenaw Peninsula. It has been carefully restored to the Victorian splendor its keepers enjoyed in 1909. The inn is unparalleled in scenery and solitude. It is a popular wedding/honeymoon spot.
Lighthouses
Eagle Harbor--The lighthouse and grounds are maintained by Keweenaw Historical Society and serve as the Keweenaw County Historical Museum Complex. Historic Locations
Fort Winkins State Park--Copper Harbour-- This restored military fort orginally built in 1844 is a trip back in time. It is populated by military personnel, their families and residents from nearby Copper Harbor who dress, act and go about the business of everyday fort life as if it were 1865. You can play along, ask questions or just watch. In August the sound of cannon roar and rifle fire is heard as a Civil War encampment moves in for the weekend.
Church of Assumption--Commonly know as the Pheonix Church, was built in 1858 to serve the needs of the Catholic mining families of Cliff Mine and Eagle River. This small church was moved to its present location on the banks of the Eagle River in 1899. It has been restored to its previous look and is open to visitors.
