Dear Friends,
Just a quick note to let you know that Paul, the boy who was so badly
injured, is awake and alert. He is splinted and casted and on a ventilator, but
he is able to breathe on his own (the ventilator is for hyper-oxygenating his
system, and is apparently standard operating procedure). He is responding to
questions with smiles, frowns, eyebrow expressions, etc. The doctors are
anticipating a full recovery. Thanks so much for your prayers. Do continue to
pray for Paul, his parents, Mark and Debbie, his brother, Jonathan, and his
sister Rebekah. They are all doing well, with minor injuries, but will be very
busy in the next few months. Paul will need total care until he gets the use of
his broken wrists and legs again. Also pray for Mike Gaudaur, the driver of the
vehicle. I didn't mention this in my last note, because I didn't know, but the
driver and passenger in the truck are also in hospital. Pray that they will see
the love of Christ in all of this, and that they will want to become Christians
as a result of it.
Once again, thanks for your prayers, and keep praying! It will be hard for
an extremely active adolescent to remain still, and hard to be patient in the
recuperation. Thanks again!
Tim
