Gideon Club Study..
Yosannah has her hands in her jacket
pocket when she arrives, "Heya."
Stone is leaning on the bar, looking over
a few files. He glances up, "Hmm? Oh, heya."
Yosannah scratches at her neckline as she
climbs up onto a stool. She nods at the paper work, "Late to be
working, you know."
Stone grins, putting the files away in a
manilla folder, "Just squeezing it in when I can. How
goes?"
Yosannah shrugs, exhales, "Okay I
suppose. I wanted to let you know that a recent aquaintance of mine
has been inquiring about Gideon."
Stone sips at the nearby Diet Coke before
asking, "Who and why?"
Yosannah sits backward in the stool,
elbows now propped up on the bar, "Do you recall the gentleman that I
went to Ada's soire with?"
Stone corrects, "Gentlemen. Merlin and
... Jurt? That was Jurt, right?"
Yosannah bites at her lip, grins and
agrees, "Sure. Gentlemen." And then, "No. That was definitely not
Jurt. He's something all together different. It was Despil."
Stone says "Oh, sorry. Despil. He's a
Chaosian, right? Serpent, all these people need name
tags."
Yosannah studies him, "Serpent? Did you
just pray to the Serpent?" She chuckles.
Stone smirks, "One does not -pray- to the
Serpent. It's far cooler than that."
"So I've been told." She smiles, "Anyway,
Despil was inquiring, not Merlin."
Stone says "So Despil. What is he? I've
heard his name before."
Yosannah shrugs, "One of the Lords or
somesuch of Sawall. You know me, I have no idea where they all fit."
She tilts her head back to examine the ceiling (or maybe it's to
stretch her neck), "He's Merlin's brother though, if that means
anything."
Stone hmms, "Half or whole?"
Yosannah stretches as she considers that,
"The impression I get is half. Yeah, I think their mother is the
connection. Is that significant to you?"
Stone nods, "Means his father isn't
Corwin. Mother is ... Dara? Maybe. Corwin sleeps with too many
women."
Yosannah ahhs, "Is that why Corwin keeps
calling the Inn? I'll have to remember to put his number on
call-blocking." She smirks, "Honestly, I don't know either of their
fathers."
Stone chuckles, "Just curious. Is he
interested like 'What a quaint place can I steal their booze'? Or
like 'I would like maybe to join'?"
Yosannah's smirk fades as she thinks on
that, "Uh, the feeling I get is a little of both, maybe. It seems
that he's known of the place for quite some time, though I'm not sure
from where. And, if the truth be told, I didn't offer up much in the
way if information - I suspected you wouldn't want me to. I
encouraged him to spend some time visiting." She shrugs.
Stone says "Works for me. Damen like
him?"
Yosannah tugs at her lower lip with her
teeth, "Honestly, I've been distancing from Damen, so he doesn't even
know him."
Stone ahs, "I see. Well, you recall he
does have a say in new members."
Yosannah nods, "I know. Of course I do.
But, I broke our ridiculously long engagement about a month ago...
and it's put a strain on our communication. So..." She brushes her
hair back, away from her face.
Stone ahs again, "Sorry to hear that."
Yosannah pauses for a moment, seemingly a
little saddened, "Yeah. Me too. Thanks though." She smiles, "Hey, who
knows. Maybe if I can get things worked out, I'll be able to talk
about family and not be fearful that I'll accidently poison my own
kids." That sounds lightly sarcastic. "Then maybe... Who knows. But
hey, if he stops by for a visit, Despil that is, I'm the reason for
it. He might want to inquire some more of you."
Stone says "Feel free to get him a copy
of my Trump."
Yosannah raises a brow at that as she
climbs off the stool, "You're way too trusting with the handing out
of your trump... but okay. I think you gave me an extra." And then,
"Oh. Do you know a Laurent something or other?"
Stone nods, "Laurent. Sure do. He visits
here on occasion. You meet him?"
Yosannah nods with a light smile, "Yeah,
nice guy. Apparently, he's 'back'. Whatever that means. He was
passing by - stealing some of the booze and all." She stretches,
"Well, I'm out of here. Catch up with you later, okay?"
Stone gives a wave, "Be good."
