Club Enigma...

Yosannah is leaning over the bar, yelling something inaudible to the bartender as Nephthys enters the club. Yo seems rather insistent about whatever it is they are talking about and the bartender just nods with a smile. He looks up at Neph as she enters. He nods in her direction and Yosannah turns to follow his gaze.

Nephthys nods and offers a smile in return to the bartender, her eyes falling to Yosannah as she walks toward the bar, "You look well, Yosannah."

Yosannah turns, her back toward the bartender. As if on cue, he moves away, reaching for a white cloth to polish a glass with. She offers, over the noise of the music, "Ah, thanks. Is there something I can do for you?"

Nephthys eyes flick to the departing bartender and linger a bit, perhaps hoping she can draw him back somehow, "No, not that I can think of off-hand."

Yosannah nods with a light smile, "I didn't know you frequented our little club" she hollers.

Nephthys pulls out a barstool and sits, "I do at times. You're club?"

Yosannah leans sidelong against the bar and nods, "Mine. And Damen's."

Nephthys nods, sliding her hands into the pockets of her haori, "Ah, business partners."

Yo studies her, smile still on her face, "Partners."

Nephthys remains poker faced, "Then it would seem we have interests in common."

Yosannah rests her elbow on the bar and her fist against her temple, "Oh?"

Nephthys smirks a bit, a certain flash to her eyes, "I know you're not an uninformed person, Yosannah, no need to play it."

Yosannah blinks once or twice, "Geesh, was I being that obvious?"

Nephthys nods, glancing once or twice in the direction of the iron door, "Yes."

Yosannah follows her gaze, "He's not in, if that's what you're wondering."

Nephthys looks at Yo, tilting her head a touch, "I'll have to catch up with him later then."

Yosannah turns toward the bar, reaching for her practically empty wine-glass, "Catch up. Don't you think that's a bit rude?"

"Rude? How so?"

Yo looks at her squarely, "You're chasing after a man, an engaged man, might I add, and letting his girl know you're going to do it." She pauses, "Rude."

Nephthys remains calm, "Engaged, when? As far as the chasing, it's been mutual."

Yosannah pauses just as the wine-glass reaches her lips. She exhales, "I doubt..." Rather then finish her line of thought she gulps the rest of her wine and sets the glass down waving at the bartender for another.

Nephthys hmms, "Interesting, he told me he wasn't interested in marriage. I guess it was a lie. I don't chase randomly."

Yo stares straight ahead rather than make eye contact, "You're probably reading into something that isn't there, Neph. It happens."

Nephthys leans her chin on her propped up hand, "It does, he said he was very much in danger of falling in love with me."

Yosannah huhs with a smirk, "Why are you telling me this. Trying to wedge your way in, perhaps?" She sips at her wine.

Nephthys shakes her head, "No, you'd be the last one I'd do that with, considering you'd be counted as a rival."

"Then why say it. Any of it."

Nephthys shrugs, watching as she traces patterns on the bar, "Likely a foolish attempt at reassuring myself."

"Reassuring yourself of what?"

Nephthys frowns, "Nothing, it's foolishness."

Yosannah frowns too, "So." She bites at her lower lip for a moment, "You two were dating before he got me back.. shot me.. whatever."

Nephthys nods, her eyes remaining down cast, "It would seem so. I didn't know about an engagement."

Yosannah turns to regard her, "It would seem so?? I mean, either you were or you weren't."

Nephthys looks up, "Attack me if you like, but it's not like he's exactly slamming the door in my face or refrains from showing up at my place and no, I won't throw him out, he's the first person I've actually been happy around and I am very much in love, regardless of anything or anyone else."

Yosannah laughs, "Please. Like I'd waste my time attacking you. YOU, my dear aren't the issue."

Nephthys remarks, "Then perhaps you shouldn't be seen talking to the pond scum, dear."

"The pond scum. What's that mean?"

Nephthys comments, not returning her gaze, "You're smart, I'm sure you understand it."

"Well then, figure me for an idiot, because I don't follow you."

Nephthys speaks, her tone calm and even, "You've likely wasted much of your time already, sitting here speaking."

Yosannah gets up and slams her stool into the bar, "Fuck this..."

Nephthys turns, watching her, "Walking away already?"

"Hey, you said it. I've already wasted much time here, right?"

Nephthys shrugs, "I'm not the one who made that judgment call, you did."

Yosannah pauses, crossing her arms. "Stop playing around, If you have something else to say, say it. Otherwise I'm leaving."

Nephthys raises a brow, "I'm not screwing around, you're the one who implied attacking me would be a waste, I just carried it from there."

Yosannah shakes her head, "Whatever. Listen, it was good to see that you're well, but I'm outtah here." She heads off to the office.
