Webber's Wayside Inn...

Yosannah feels a tingle in the back of her mind. After a moment she is in trump contact.

The image of Rubi drawls, "Sissster. You are finally awake." she smiles.

To the image of Rubi,Yosannah says "You're mistaken. She's not awake..."

The image of Rubi chuckles. "You know me, tho?"

To the image of Ruby, Yosannah says, "I think so. Though, the way you addressed me, certainly was a clue."

The image of Rubi reaches out, with hand and mind, "Let us meet, get better aquainted." Her tone is not threatening but polite and expectant.

To the image of Rubi, Yosannah seems reluctant.

The image of Rubi suggests, "Or I can come to you? If you feel more secure on your home turf?"

To the image of Rubi, Yosannah considers, "No, I'm fine...."

Hard Rock Cafe - Metropolis...

Rubi stands medium height in high-heel crocodile shoes. Wearing a loose black sleeveless blouse and silk trousers of the same color with wide pantlegs, her midriff is encircled twice by a wide snakelike belt loosely folded on itself. At her neck is a flashing red stone of sparkling brilliance, adding the a dot of color to her otherwise dark appearance. The deep smokey eyes of this slim pale woman are grey such as clouds before a storm. Her face is fair, lips full, chin strong and proud. Her glossy blond hair is blunt cut at chin length .

Rubi is in the corner booth. There is a space without people, without dancers, surprisingly without noise, just around the booth.

Yosannah joints Rubi at the booth. She clasps her hands atop the table and sits quietly.

Rubi looks you over with eyes and more intense concentration. "You are young. You are injured. She inhales to take in more clues.

Yosannah reaches up at the wound on her neck, "Did you want to talk about something?"

Rubi's eyes follow your hand then gravitate to your face. "I always want something...talk?...sure...How are you?" she seems sincere in her question.

Yosannah seems uncomfortable. "I'm ... fine."

Rubi smiles, "You can relax with me. We are brethren. You seem ...troubled."

Yosannah shakes her head, "No. Listen. I'm not like you."

Rubi lowers her chin and looks at you under lidded eyes. "You're not? How so?"

Yosannah seems puzzled, "I'm not sure how to answer that."

Rubi says with sweetness. "Try. Let us begin with names. "I am Rubi Rhoz....." she looks at you expectantly.

"Yosannah. Uh, Yo."

Rubi holds out her hand to shake or touch or some sort of greeting. "Yo. Don't be uncomfortable around me. You are safe in my home."

Yosannah doesn't extend her hand though and her face is gradually filled with fatigue, "I can't deal with this anymore. It's too hard."

The protected circle around the booth is almost silent. The muffled sound of a club is in contrast to the visual appearance of the partyers so nearby.

Rubi frowns and leans forward. "Tell me what is hard?"

"Constantly fighting her. It. I'm tired of it. Sometimes I want to let go, but I'm scared of losing myself again." She runs her hands over her hair, "So scared."

Rubi nods. "You should not lose yourself. Don't be scared of her. Let me talk to her..."

Yosannah shakes her head, "I can't.. She's been getting stronger since the ordeal in the Kitchen. I don't think I can find my way back if I let go this time..." She moves to stand and mumbles, "... I need the collar."

Rubi holds her hand. "Where is the collar? What does it do?"

Yosannah looks down as Rubi grips her hand, "I want to believe that I can trust you. I just can't right now."

Rubi holds on for a second more then slowly releases you after noting your glance. "I want you to trust me, dahling." and she sits back to give you space.

Yosannah retracts her hand and reaches into a pocket. "I need to think about this. I need some time."

Rubi nods, silent, watching. "Stay for a drink? I will not pressure you."

Yosannah is obviously unsettled, "Next time, maybe. I need to get home to my fiance."

Rubi nods again. "Next time." She smiles soft and sultry. Not seductive but secure in herself. "Go. I will call you soon. Remember, you are brethren, I will protect you."

Yosannah seems doubtful. She studies the card in her hand...
