Damen and Yosannah visit the Garden in Fairmir...

Yosannah looks around in wonder and skips toward the pond.

Damen looks to her after dipping his head to sniff a rose, "Anything in particular you wanted to talk about?"

"Maybe" He chuckles.

"Care to give me a clue" She sits before the pond and reaches in to touch the water. Ripples flow outward away from her fingertips.

"I was thinking you could tell me about some of the things that we saw at Del's."

Damen frowns, "Oh"

She mocks, "Oh. Yeah Oh."

Damen sight softly and plucks one of the roses. His thumb moves to his mouth as he lightly pricks himself upon one of the thorns "what to say...I used to be a bad guy. Pillaged and burned, etc. etc."

She nods quietly, "I got that... So. Who was the woman. Was it Catherine?"

Damen shakes his head, "No. Fiona"

She looks up and smiles almost relieved. "Fiona. Who is Fiona"

"She was an aunt of mine... and when Finndo ripped off my mask... so many years ago.. she .. mind raped me. I became somewhat unhinged because of that"

Yosannah turns her attention back toward the lilies in the water, "Oh. So." She pauses, "Now what. You don't have anymore lapses and that's it..." She hops up from he pond abruptly.

Damen moves a hand to his face automatically. "I guess we'll see." He smiles, rubbing his jaw thoughtfully.

Yo stands and wipes her pants smooth. She turns her attention to a nearby grassy area and motions for Damen's hand. He walks to h er, placing his hand in hers. "We don't have to talk about this if you don't want to, " she offers.

He shrugs, "I don't want to keep anything from you, my own. And I want you to feel safe with me"

She hugs him tightly, "I do. Doesn't mean I don't worry."

Damen holds her, his lips murmur near her ear, softly, "Okay."

Yosannah asks suddenly, "What made you change?"

Damen breaks the contact, "What do you mean?"

She reached as hand up to touch his face, "You're not like that anymore. I can feel it when I'm with you. What changed you."

He shrugs, "I didn't like what I had become." He closes his eyes at her touch. As he does her body is abruptly thrown forward into his arms as if she has been struck from behind. His arms move instinctively around her, "Yo?!" Her body falls limp in his arms, "Yo, what's wrong."

Yosannah's eyes flash open and her expression darkens. She glares at him, a smirk plays lightly on her lips. Just as quickly, the expression falls away and she is motionless. Damen places a hand over her forehead, "Yo?"

She startles; disoriented she pushes him away, "Where the..."

Damen's frown deepens, "Don't you remember. You fell forward."

She shakes her head and raises her hand to her forehead. "I've never fainted before..."

Damen shakes his head, "I don't think you fainted.. you seemed conscious."

"Damen, I ..."

Damen frowns and reaches for her hand, "Come on then, let's go down by the harbor." The two walk toward the harbor, "Amber is a short distance from here."

Yo smiles and stands, she faulters and grasps his arm to steady herself, "Which way?"

He studies her and then motions, "Over that way. Yo, are you okay? I...."

She interrupts, "Let's go walk down by the pier." She takes his hand, "I was wondering... about our wedding"

Damen follows, "yeah?"

She stops, half-way down the pier and kisses him firmly on the lips, "It can be traditional, right? Earth traditional, that is."

Damen chuckles softly, "Our weddings and yours are very similar."

She resumes pulling. "What does that mean?"

He smirks, "Which word didn't you understand? that seemed a very straight forward comment. " He gets pulled.

Yo laughs, "Which parts -aren't- similar... dork.."

"Well, the part when we are supposed to dismember our brides after the wedding night." He winks. Yosannah eyes him and sighs. Damen laughs, "You're too easy."

"Anyway... I was also thinking that I don' t have a maid of honor. It's depressing me actually." She rests a hand on his shoulder as she attempts to balance herself at the edge of the pier.

He chuckles softly as he watches her, "We can always get a midget. You should always have a midget at your wedding. It's like tradition."

She sighs and plops down, hanging her legs over the edge of the cock. "Thanks I feel better."

Damen chuckles and raises his arms to either side of him. He lifts into the air and hovers over the water, turning to face her. "Don't you know anyone? Any girlfriends?" He winks, "you can even invite them to the honeymoon."

She flicks water in his general direction. "No. Actually. I don' t have any close girl friends. Not in the Sun anyway.." She pauses, "And you're showing off. I didn't know you could do that."

"Actually, I thought you were going to push me in. I didn't want a good spell to go to waste." He floats back to sit beside her.

"It's pretty here."

"It is," he nods, "I prefer Scotland."

She smiles, "I know you do." She reaches her hand out to run her fingers through his hair, "We're going to be okay."

Damen smiles, "I never doubted it."

"So," she wraps her arms around his neck, "We've probably got to invite Alayne, huh?"

He nods, "Yes. The only one who will not be invited is Brand."

She shrugs with a smile, "Don't like him, eh?"

Damen smiles, "He's a pompous ass."

She laughs, "And you aren't?"

He nods, "Yeah, but I'm cool and stuff. And he's nuts." Damen makes a little circular motion by his ear. "I'll forgo the obvious comeback."
