Gideon Club Study...

Stone wanders in, Diet Coke in hand.

Yosannah sits at the bar, her chin resting in her hands, "lookie what the cat drag'd in."

Stone grins, "Howdy do. You setting up camp here or what?"

Yosannah raises a brow, "Out of the loop again, are we." She snaps her fingers, "You gotta get in touch."

Stone smirks, "So touch me."

Yosannah chuckles, a single short exhileration of breath, and rolls her eyes, "Are you flirting. How... disgusting."

Stone rolls his eyes now, "No. I'm joking. Flirt with you? That's pretty gross."

Yosannah blows a strand of hair from her face, "Yeah yeah. So, what's with the short locks?"

A casual appearance rests on Stone's face as he observes the world with dark eyes. Appearing in his early twenties, he is of moderate build. His dark hair, bangs falling over his eyes, is cut short in back and glints silver in the light. He is dressed in dark trousers and a poet's shirt of grey. On his feet are dark boots, laced to the thigh, and over his shirt he wears a black leather jacket. On the middle finger of his right hand is a silver ring with a bright turquoise stone and on the ring finger is set a stone of a bluish metal.

Stone shrugs, "I got tired of it long."

Yosannah studies his new look, "I don't know. Hmm. I guess it's fairly handsome this way."

Stone smirks, "Now who's flirting?"

Yosannah offers a soft moan, "Not me." And after a moment, "Anyway..."

Stone says "Anyway ... so what's new with you?"

Yosannah shrugs, "I ran into Baron. Remember him?"

Stone says "Of course. Been in touch with him via messages. What's he been up to lately?"

Yosannah shrugs and then spins around in her stool, "Doesn't seem like much of anything. He was hanging out at some whore house when I saw him."

Stone says "The Rain?"

Yosannah raises a brow, "You know it?"

Stone smirks, "I know everywhere. They know me there too."

Yosannah seems mildly repulsed, "I'm so sure."

Stone hehs, "I go there to meet clients. And watch. Very amusing at times."

Yosannah laughs, "You like to watch? That's funny."

Stone peers, "I feel vaguely insulted."

Yosannah places a hand over her mouth to muffle a chuckle, "Oh. How's that?"

Stone smirks, "I'm not sure. Just a hunch."

"So what was Baron doing at the Rain?"

"I didn't ask. Not sure I wanted to know. He helped me get the hell out of there though."

Stone asks, "What were you doing there? Look, if you're low on cash ... I got some I can lend you ... " he smirks again.

Yosannah raises her hand and waves it flippantly in his direction, "If the truth be told, I'm not sure how I got there. I think I accidently trumped myself there... I think." She shrugs.

Stone frowns, "I see ... "

"Why are you making that face at me? You're always giving me that look."

Stone coughs, "It's my 'Yo is possessed by an evil entity, so don't confuse her too much' look."

"Not that it matters but... it's not evil. And I've got a grip on her anyway. And you are so full of shit." She makes a face, "So, pull up a stool and tell me what you are up to."

Stone smirks as he takes a seat, "Well. Getting the Church of the Serpent in the Sun. Getting a room at Amber Castle. Stuff in between."

Yosannah smirks "Shut up."

Stone grins, "All true. I can't make this stuff up."

"Well, the obvious question here is 'why'?"

"Why which why?"

"Both of course."

Stone says "Because the Serpent and I have an understanding. And because certain elements in Amber and I have an understanding."

"You are full of it. Truly. You don't know no Serpent."

Stone says "How do you know? You ask it? I think not."

"Pshh. Odds are pretty good I have better ties with the Serpent then you do."

"Yeah? How's that work? The chick in your head tell you so?"

"Me and the Serpent got 'A Thing'. You know how it is. Don't be jealous."

Stone smirks, "I'll try to contain myself."

"So, what's this understanding you supposedly have with the folks at Amber castle?"

"That I'll kick his ass unless he lets me bunk there. I'm tough like that." He makes fists. Throws a few punches.

"You punch like a girl."

Stone smirks, "Girls are tough these days."

"Fair enough. But you're avoiding the question."

Stone nods, "I've been known to do that."

"You don't have to do that with me, you know." She shakes her head, "I know you know that. Why do I have to keep saying it."

Stone hehs, "Because I know people don't irritate you enough. I think they're scared or confused by you."

Yosannah suggests, "And you feel the need to feel that gap in my life? How absolutely wonderful of you."

Stone grins, "That's what I'm here for."

Yosannah bites her lip, "Okay. I have an idea. Let's just sit here and stare at each other. I won't talk about me and you won't talk about you. How's that?"

Stone nods and stares at her silently.

Yosannah gazes back at him, "Are yout eyes brown?" She squints a bit to get a better look.

Stone squints back, "Pretty much. They used to be darker."

"How come?"

Stone says "Because I used to be more evil. I've gotten nicer. So my eyes are getting brighter."

Yosannah smiles lightly. She climbs off her stool and moves to sit on the one beside him, "And what about these..." She reaches toward the rings on his right hand.

Stone looks, "One I've had for ages. The turquoise one. The other one, Hephaestus gave me."

Yosannah traces a finger over the metalic blue ring, "Hmmm. Who's Hephaestus?"

Stone says "The Greek God of Smithing."

Yosannah frowns doubtfully, "And the other?" "My uncle. From a long time ago."

"You've never mentioned an uncle before."

Stone smirks, "Haven't I? Maybe I just made him up?"

"Maybe. It wouldn't surprise me." She smiles, "I'd rather you didn't have an uncle. I don't want to be the only one with nobody."

Stone chuckles, "We loners should stick together, eh?"

"Absolutely."

Stone grins, "So, back to Baron. Did he say anything about what he was up to at all? I was looking to get back in touch with him more seriously."

Yosannah shakes her head, "No. Sorry I don't have more info then that... No. Wait. He seemed to allude to something about Hell's Kitchen. Almost sounded like he was going to open shop there."

Stone ahs, "I'll have to look him up there then."

Yosannah nods, "Yeah. Maybe he's thinking of reforming that crew he was hanging with a few years back. The Syndicate or some such thing."

Stone nods, "I remember them."

"Funny little group they were, that's for certain."

Stone chuckles, "I don't think they looked at themselves like that."

Yosannah smiles, "Yeah. Well," she climbs off her stool, "I'm gonna take off to bed. I'd invite you up, but I'd bet Damen is probably home already. You know how it goes."

Stone gives a wave, "Give him one for me, eh."

"Sure thing."
