Hell's Kitchen...
Riva sits in one of the last remaining chairs looking pale and exhausted as she convereses with two middle-aged men with the look of authority about them. Yosannah enters the decrepid church, her jacket slung over her left arm and a mid-ranged glock in her right hand. She reaches the back of her weapon hand up to her brow and wipes away the perspiration. Riva looks up and looks suprised. "Yosannah."
Those refugees still awake look up and watch the other woman with mingled curiousity and awe. Yosannah glances around at the rif-raf with an obvious look of disdane. She mumbles under her breath, "... hate this shadow," And then makes her way over to the woman, her left arm in a sling and her face pale and drawn tight with pain. "You look like shit, Riva."
Riva frowns. "Gee, thanks."
Yosannah smirks as she tucks the weapon away at her back. "I dropped your friend off and came back to look for you. You were gone."
Riva arches an eyebrow. "You think I'm dumb enough to lay bleeding in front of the world's end bar with people looking for me?" she leans back and winces in pain, voice turning rough. "Wanted to thank you for taking Alys to the hospital."
Yosannah offers simply, "No, but I would like to hope that those two boys aren't stupid enough to..." Her expression blanks and her gaze loses focus on Riva as she establishes trump contact with Damen....
The image of Damen quirks an eyebrow up. "About time. What are you up to?"
"I'm with Riva in Hell's Kitchen."
The image of Damen chuckles softly, "I thought you didn't like her. What are you doing there?"
Yosannah smirks. "I helped a friend of her's out last night. You're little pet almost got herself killed... Again. You'll never guess who the perps were."
The image of Damen offers, "Joshua and Dwight?"
"Bingo. Perhaps you'd like to see her for yourself" Yosannah pulls Damen forward into the church...
Riva scowls. "oh, hello Damen." she murmurs with some irritation.
Damen appears, smirking faintly. He takes a moment to regard his surroundings and then pulls a glock from behind him. He cocks it and looks to Riva. "You look like shit."
Cisco enters from the street.
Damen spins and quickly takes aim at Cisco.
Yosannah turns abruptly at the new arrival, her right hand instinctively going to the ring on her left hand.
Cisco carries a light back pack, and a child's sized shoe box tied with string. He looks around.
Yosannah sighs in relief. "Jesus, it's just Cisco."
Cisco grins at Riva and Damen. "Which one of you is Yea-zus."
Riva says "Of course it's just Cisco, no one else can really get in save you, he, myself, and a couple of others. Chill and put the guns away, we're safe here."
Cisco tilts his head down and rolls his eyes up to look at the weapons, as if over reading glasses. He lets his glance flicker around the room then back to Damen. "I rebuilt the Brooklin Bridge. Do I get a gold star or sumthin?"
Damen turns his gaze to Cisco, "I'm impressed. Did you grow balls since the last time we met, Cisco?"
Yosannah rolls her eyes at Damen.
Cisco sets down the shoe box, and makes himself comfortable on a nearby hunk of wall. He looks Damen up and down. "Frankly, I don't think I've had any occasion to show you my balls. You're not my type, Signor."
Damen smirks faintly at that.
Cisco's head dips - a bow. "Duanya Yosannah, will the cleansing be soon?"
Yosannah regards Cisco and mouth's: 'cleansing'?
Cisco's easy gaze drifts over Yosannah, and his head dips again in reply. He looks over to Damen and Riva, head tilting as he quietly listens to them.
Damen looks back to Riva, studying her. The glock remains in his hand, "What have you done now?"
Riva's gaze narrow at Damen, then at Yo. "You two have a reason to be here?"
Yosannah smirks at Cisco before offering to Riva, "How 'bout to make sure your ass is okay? And to return your property. Of course, I can keep your goddamn trump if you'd rather we leave you here."
Damen looks back to Riva. "I don't know about Yosannah, Riva...but I'm here because she pulled me through. Who have you been pissing off this time?"
Riva looks irritated. "This isn't a diner. You two wanna talk go elsewhere." she looks at Cisco. "Have you and Ithius figured out how to transfere the refugees?"
Cisco says "Yeah." He shrugs, "At least I have. Signor Ithius has a little trouble with the chaos to order transformations and the resulting activities of the demon stuff here. It don't matter if he understands, it'll work." Cisco turns to look at Damen and Yosannah. "Hey, but welcome to this House of worship and refuge. I'm sure the people here are pleased to see you." He glances at Damen, then shrugs again.
Damen looks to Yosannah. "I'll meet you in the WEB, sweetheart." His eyes never leave Riva as he speaks. "I should have mentioned that Riva is no longer under my eye. If she comes in contact with any of my current activities or interests....she will cease to live." He leans over and gives Yosannah a quick peck on the cheek. "See you there later?"
Yosannah smirks at Damen and nods, "Yes. Very shortly.
Cisco and I will be by, won't we, Cis?"
Cisco says "Ah," He looks around, and nods "Sure."
Damen nods. His form shimmers. Damen moves forward and vanishes, leaving behind a rapidly fading afterimage.
Riva frowns at Damen and looks to Yosannah. "Fuck this shit." she looks to Cisco. "I'm leaving. Talk to Ithius, if he deems it safe then I'll put my stamp of approval on it. You heard me, Cisco. Nothing flies until Ithius has inspected it and approved it."
Cisco says "Signor Ithius is not the person designing or building the gate way out, I am. You have nothing to do with it."
Yosannah crosses her arms and smirks as she stands beside Cisco.
Riva says "Maybe, but the refugees are under my wing and I am not willing to risk their lives. You've heard my speech about this, do you really want to hear it again?"
Cisco says "I told him and I'm telling you that the chaos can not be resolved into order until the spell is about to be cast. These people are under my watch, too, Donna Riva."
Yosannah chuckles.
Riva frowns and seems about to argue. Then softly. "I promised them I'd make sure they were safe, Cisco....and they all see you as their savior. I'll trust you not to prove their faith in us wrong. For now, I've had a rough week and if Damen has resorted to death threats then I have some calls I need to make to add him to the list of people to be delt with. Thank you, Cisco. Bye, Yosannah."
Cisco says "Hey, Donna Riva?"
Riva pauses, gaze dark and questioning trump in hand.
Cisco smiles and pokes around in his pocket. "Here." He offers her a single, perfect dandylion.
Riva takes the dandylion and bites the bloom off, chewing. "Thanks." a few yellow petals escape her lips as she looks down to the trump.
Cisco laughs, the sound resounding off the walls of the church. "Bye!"
Yosannah shakes her head. Riva moves forward and vanishes, leaving behind a rapidly fading afterimage.
Yosannah gives Cisco a shove in the arm, "What is that all about?"
Cisco looks over to Yosannah, offering her a dandylion not quite as magnificent as the one he offered Riva. "Hungry?"
Yosannah raises a brow. "Cisco, what are you doing here? With this mess?" She doesn't take the weed.
Cisco twirls the flower. "She wants to save their lives. I want to... well, life isn't everything. It may not be possible to save them all. But I need to get as many as I can away from here to a safe house inland about 120 miles. Then we cast a spell to kill everything on this island, the demons in particular."
Yosannah is obviously disguested, "You aren't serious."
A feint disturbance in the air flutters as something approachs down the street little sound is heard until it is right near the temple, then Ithius fades into reality and waves toward the dandelion wielding Cisco and the Yo of dumbfounded looks, "Hello all."
Yosannah notes Ithius presence but continues, "This is a serious waste of effort , Cisco..." She reaches into her pocket.
Cisco turns back to Yosannah. "Yes. Serious. It's compounded by my belief that something has been happening to the, um, call it 'souls' here. We can't just take these people out via trump. If they leave the shadow, then the shadow will lose a great deal of it's 'soul'."
"Ah yeah... sure... Regardless, I'd be hard pressed to believe that that," She makes a motion where Riva once stood, "woman's intentions match your own. Just be carefull around 'her'.Every time I think about warming to her, she lets her mouth flap. When somebodyhas truly had enough of her lip it's gonna be the shit-storm of all time."
Ithius looks about, "Well...she's been shot a few times already."
Yosannah finds the card she was looking for and then eyes, Ithius and suggests, "Beginners. I'll meet you two there."
Cisco nods, picking up a small box. "I'll meet you there. I have these for the youngest boy around here, I'll head to the Web after a bit."
World's End Bar...
Yosannah appears just under the balcony near Jane's table. She walks past her table and heads directly for the bar.
Ithius appears suddenly.
Jasra smiles at Yosannah, "I wish you good luck, my dear." She rises.
"I make my own luck" she climbs up on the stool next to Damen.
Jasra smiles. Ithius sits down at the bar.
Damen smirks faintly. "Do take care, Jasra. Watch out for the boogeyman."
Ithius waves toward Jasra.
Mandor glances out at the room for a moment, distracted by the conversation with Jasra.
Damen turns to the bar after nodding politely to Ithius.
Damen strikes up a conversation with Yosannah.
Jasra's word goes unanswered.
Cisco walks in, the door showing a dark street littered with garbage, just before it closes.
Jasra's voice is crisp, "Start acting like a man instead of a petulant child. You were clearly in the wrong and you know it. You are banned from /my/ house and /my/ Keep until you begin to take some responsiblity for your own actions."
Cisco is full of bows for the ladies and grinning nods to the gentlemen. He heads over and plops into a chair at Sarah's table. En route he calls out "Diet Coke, Please!"
Damen smiles faintly. "Oh, but I have." Whether or not this is in answer to Jasra, or in response to something Yosannah has said, is unclear.
Jasra snorts at his response, whether for her or someone else. She gathers her skirts.
Yosannah perks up at the mention of Diet coke. "Stone?" She turns to Cisco, "Oh. It's just you." She winks.
Cisco looks puzzled. "Who?"
Ithius says "hey Yo."
"Hmm?"
Ithius laughs at Yosannah's joke, "That was bad."
Yosannah smirks.
Damen smirks and sips his whiskey.
Yosannah rests a hand on Damen's arm as she addresses Ithius, "Ith, what the hell is going on in the Kitchen?"
Ithius mmms, "You REALLY want to know? It's pretty damned sordid."
"I'm talking about the supposed alliances that seem to be forming. Or, better yet, have formed."
Ithius mmms, "Alliances? could you be more specific?"
Damen listens to the conversation at the bar, but doesn't appear to be joining it.
Beatrice focuses an ear on the conversation.
Yosannah says "What on earth are you and Cisco doing working with Riva? That doesn't seem like an unlikely union to you? I know you aren't that obtuse, Ith."
Ithius mmms, "She needed someone to check Cisco's work, and begged and whined for me to do it. Didn't take long to do, and I wander through the Kitchen all the time."
Yosannah hmphs and mutters, "...drama. Has to be involved." She reaches for Damen's drink.
Damen offers it up, as usual.
Ithius picks the cup up after it's set down, "unfortuantely Cisco tends to be over confident I'm pessimistic.. so he had to fix a lot of things."
Yosannah nods at Ithius. "True. He's a good guy though."
Yosannah notes, "She was blowing smoke up our asses after you left, Damen." She chuckles, "Made some crack about adding you to the list of people that needed to be taken care of."
Damen murmurs, "Whatever."
Ithius says "Jaz was saying that? Or the Rivanator."
Yosannah smirks, "The Riva-what? Don't flatter her when she's not even here, Ith."
"I was going to get her armor with a target on it. Poor girl gets shot so much."
Yosannah says "Only because she probably deserves it. Though that mess last night.. man."
Ithius says "What happened last night?"
Damen looks to the bartender for a refill.
Yosannah says "I'm guessing she started some shit with Dwight. Natuarlly that brother of his joined it. I wasn't so much worried about Riva, but that Alys girl tried to help her and got her ass shot off. Messy."
Ithius mmms, "really.. that's strange..", he says thinking.
"How so?"
Ithius says "Dwight almost always starts things.. he's a tad parinoid."
"Honestly, Ith, I'm not sure who said what first. It doesn't matter with idiots like that."
Ithius nods, "well things always seem to get messy with Dwight and Joshua around I don't know.. perhaps synergism."
Damen leans over and kisses Yosannah softyl on the cheek. "I'll see you at home."
Yosannah reaches for Damen's arm, "No, wait. I'm coming."
Damen rubs the bridge of his nose before offering his hand to Yosannah. "We have advil? My head is killing me."
Cisco glances up, watching Yosannah and Damen. He inclines his head their direction.
Yosannah nods at Cisco, "Stop by Elbridge, okay, Cis." She is obviously rushed.
Cisco stands, bowing to Yosannah, "I will. Best wishes Signoritta, you you and your Hombre."
