Yo establishes contact with Cisco...

The image of the picture comes into focus. This young man is broad shouldered and short. In the background: This is a happily crowded place, a combination living, dining room such as found in a small home. "Hello. I, um, just thought I'd call to greet you."

Yosannah raises a brow. To the image of Cisco, Yosannah says "To greet me? Not to pry?"

"It's been a long time, Signora. And besides, I got bored. I hope I found you well?"

"Of course I'm well. And you?"

Cisco hesitates, then shrugs again. "Well enough. I've been reading a lot lately. That and a little drafting. No big projects though. There is one coming up, if i could ask if you know a place?"

Yosannah crosses her arms, "Shoot."

The image of Cisco nods, "The location is Albion, and the company is Ambient Light Special Industries, either of those ring a bell?"

Yosannah considers for a moment, "special Industries... hmm. It sounds very familiar. I do know of Albion for certain though. What's your interest there."

Cisco's face brightens up. "You do! Great! There's a building contract there, and they want the place to 'fit into the setting'. Hard to start working on it if I have no idea what the setting is like."

Yosannah says "I don't think I have a trump for it though." She pauses for a moment to fish around inside her jacket. The takes out a wad of cards and thumbs through them. "Ahhh. Hmm. I don't think so. Nope, I don't"

Cisco seems surprised by the number of cards. "We need to play poker some day, hey." he grins. "Are there many buildings there, or more open lands in their natural state?"

To the image of Cisco, Yosannah reflects as if she's not sure how to answer, "I guess I would have to say more of a 'natural state' ... if I'm to understand what you're asking." She tucks the mess back into her jacket pocket.

Cisco hmms, "I must not have been clear, hey." He thinks a bit, asking "So where's your favorite place there?"

"Cisco, I only know where it is, I haven't hung out there." She shrugs. "What's with this contract thing you're talking about?"

"It's a building contract I want to bid on, for some sort of office complex. I build stuff. That's what I do for a living, Duanya Yosannah. Besides, it's a shadow I've never been to. I'd like to get the contract because I could work on my trans-shadow physics stuff there."

Yosannah nods, "Sounds.. interesting." She smiles, "What's trans-shadow physics?"

The image of Cisco cheerfully warms to the subject, looking relieved that Yo wasn't bored by it's mention. "Mostly like normal Physics, 'cept I'm trying to develop ways to do some sort of comparative analysis of the differences in physics between shadows, so I need to set up tests that are somewhat shadow independent."

Yosannah says "What makes you think there are differences at all? Have you started some tests?"

"There's ways, time, for instance," he nods as he's talking. "I can set 2 clocks in the same shadow, trump one to another shadow, wait a bit, then compare the time. There's other things, like material strength."

Elkantar walks out of the woods. Yosannah is standing next to a silver Intrepid just outside Webber's Wayside Inn. She appears to be talking out loud to... nobody.

To the image of Cisco, Yosannah says "Well, I've noticed the time differences. What have you noticed about" She tries to mimic your voice, "Material Strength?"

Yosannah crosses her arms and leans her back against the car.

Elkantar... comes down from the Asylum.. Yeah, that's it. He gets a few odd looks, but surely by now the populace in general have forgiven the Earl his peculiarities. Especially considering he's infamous as the blind albino elf or something like that. His plate mail doesn't help either.

Yosannah catches a glance at Elkantar out of the corner of her eye. She chuckles softly to herself at the sight of him before focusing her attention again on her 'conversation'.

Elkantar doesn't seem to mind a whole lot at people chuckling or laughing at him. He does however, seem to remember something he may have forgotten, and spins on a heel to head back to the Asylum.

The image of Cisco says "Oh lot's of things!" He grins as he talks, the bored look on his face dissolving into his smiles. "For instance, certain Shadow paths can't be used for ballista or catapults. The materials that are elastic in one place may be brittle elsewhere. There's one place on the shadow path from the Courts to um, someplace, where we can pass if the weapons are unloaded, but they break if they are loaded. Stuff like that."

Yosannah nods, "I see. Yes, I'm aware of such things. I suppose I never gave much thought to the reasons behind the distinctions between shadows. But you haven't yet told me of the tests you've done."

Cisco says "Opps, Hi, um, just a minute." His attention weakens, wavering until he looks back. "If I may be excused, my family has arrived."

"Of course. Good luck and take care."
