Yosannah stares at the image of Damen in the card before her.

The image of Damen says,"What do you want, Yosannah."

    "I want to see you."

The image of Damen says, "You can see me now... what do you want?"

Yosannah sighs, "I don't want to talk through this damn card, Damen, C'mon."

The image of Damen reaches out his hand and pulls Yo through to a completely empty Penthouse.

    Studio apartment...

Yosannah looks around the empty room, "I thought you left here?"

Damen stands in the middle of his empty penthouse. A few stray pieces of furniture are covered in white sheets. A box with a few plants sits near Damen's feet. He motions to them, "I came to get some plants."

Yosannah bites her lip, "Where ya gonna go?"

He regards Yosannah, "I haven't decided yet. Apparently someplace where trumps can't reach me." Yosannah shifts her weight to her other leg as Damen says, "Either that, or I install call waiting."

Yosannah looks up, "So, today you hate me. Perfect."

Damen blinks, "I told you how I felt yesterday. I remind you that -you- left."

Yosannah shakes her head, "See, a few months ago, you called this relationship off. Why do you keep leaving that part out?"

He sighs and reaches down to take up a box of plants, "I already told you that my actions were inexcusable.. but you would either forgive me or you wouldn't." He straightens, "You chose not to."

She shrugs, "Well, I'm sorry then. You just.. just. I mean, I don't want you to go again."

Damen looks at her, "Why did you leave yesterday then?"

She rests one hand on her hip and runs the other through her hair, "It's just that you were gone for a long time, Damen. I don't know if I can hop back into things the way you were suggesting."

She stares at the ground as he smirks, "Perhaps my wit got the best of me. I wasn't serious in such extremes, Yo." He adds, "Although I would be lying if I said I haven't missed your body against mine." He turns, moving to the window to overlook the city, "Things won't be the same at first... I know this. You need to trust me again.. and that takes time."

Yosannah crosses her arms and nods, "Well, I can't guess when you're being serious and when you're not. It's not fair to think that I can... or that I should have to."

He smiles, crossing his own arms, "Sure it is. You're supposed to know me."

She watches him for a moment, "Yeah. I'm supposed to."

Damen turns to regard her, "So. What now"

She shrugs, "I don't know. I just wanted to say I was sorry. After that, who knows." She pauses for a moment, "Hey, you know what?"

Damen quirks an eyebrow up, "What?"

She smiles almost sadly, "It's September."

Damen smiles, "I presumed 'it' was canceled."

She quickly motions toward some of the boxes, "So. Um. I could help you move if you want.."

Damen chuckles, "I haven't bought a new place yet. I was just going to stay at the club for a few days."

She reaches for his hand and gives it a light squeeze. "Okay. I'll catch up with you later then." She drops it and heads for the door.

    "Bye, Yosannah."

She steps into the elevator and presses a button. She removes another card and stares at the image of Stone.

His images says, "YO! Hey there. How goes?"

She smiles, "I'm at the studio. You at the club?" She peers closer at his image.

He sits in his usual chair in the Club and he nods.

"Cool. Are you alone. Pull me though..."

    Gideon Club study...

She mumbles as she arrives at the Gideon Club. "This card thing of you is like ... the coolest."

Stone grins and releases her hand, "Hey, I think Alayne's whipping up some of you to pass out to strangers or something."

She laughs, "Why the hell would she do that?"

He hehs, "Well, you can give them to friends and neighbors instead."

She nods, "Oh, okay. That makes sense. Hey, she's gonna teach me to do some drawing things. Isn't that cool?"

Stone smirks, "So I've heard. Well, better you then most people I suppose."

Yo frowns, "What's that supposed to mean?"

He chuckles, "It's a compliment. Take it as one."

She seems doubtful, "Okay. Hey, I've got this friend who said I don't need to be that great of a drawer to make these things.... that's a relief."

Stone grins, "The only prerequisite I've seen so far is to be smarter than Batou. The fact that he can't learn trump but could walk a Pattern really diminishes my respect for Pattern Walkers to no end, by the way."

Yosannah nods like she knows what Stone is talking about, "Yeah. Sure."

Stone nods, "So, been keeping busy?"

She nods, "Yeah. I ran into -your- partner today." She shakes her head in distaste, "and I have someone staying at my Inn that you might be interested in chat'n with."

Stone smirks slightly and then looks curious, "Who?"

Yosannah adjusts her jacket, "One of Alayne's cousins. At least I think they're cousins..." She shrugs and

Stone smirks, "Alayne has more cousins than Ogmar has fleas. What's his or her name?"

She makes a face at Stone, "So pushy... ah. Merlin something or other..."

Stone raises an eyebrow, "Merlin?! He never calls. He never writes. I sent him a trump of this place and he never visits."

She nods, "Yeah, Well, Tarkus said that you wanted to talk to him... must have been a month ago. And he interrupted my dinner to tell Merlin." Her face shows disgust, "Can you believe the gall?"

Stone smirks, "Oh, I can believe it." He then glances off, "Erk. I'm about to be trump-dragged-off. Tell Merlin... er ... I'll try to catch up with him here or something. Any last requests?"

She scoffs, "Tell him yourself. No I don't have a request. But you never write. You never call... You have my trump, you never visit." She pulls out her own card. As Stone smirks she vanishes...
