Competition arena is 20 m x 60 m covered arena with sand/dirt footing. PLEASE NOTE: competition arena for Introductory Level and Training Level may be 20 m x 40 m. Lungeing in designated areas at posted times only. No lungeing in warm-up arena 1 hour prior to start of show until last ride of each day is completed. Entries OPEN February 25; CLOSE March 8. ENTRIES ACCEPTED ONLY BY MAIL. Entries will be accepted first come, first served, based on postmark. Entries which are incomplete or postmarked before the opening date will be returned. Click here for the Entry Form/GVDS Release Page 1 and Page 2 . You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader to view and print these files. Print pages 1 and 2 on letter-sized [8 1/2" x 11"] paper. Use one form for each horse/rider combination. Current Coggins (within the last 12 months) required. Enclose a copy of your USAEq Amateur Card, your US Pony Club Card, and your horse's breed papers, if you want your scores to count for GVDS Year-End Awards in these categories. Ride Times: Local riders notified by phone. Out of town riders notified by mail, if they enclose a self addressed stamped envelope with their entry, or by email if address is enclosed with entry. Ride times are tentative. Official times posted day of show at Show Office. Awards: Ribbons through sixth, Championship and Reserve for Introductory through Fourth Levels awarded to highest average score with a minimum of 2 tests and 55% or better average (FEI 1 test required). Classes 1-15 will count toward GVDS Year-End Awards for 2002. Check the February GVDS Newsletter for requirements for these awards. Food: Pony Club will be running a food and beverage concession both days. Dogs: Must be leashed. Stabling: $15.00 per night. NO BEDDING IS PROVIDED. Please bring your own bedding. Current Coggins (within the last 12 months) required. Stalls at the Fairgrounds are plentiful; tack stalls may be requested at the same price. Show Fees: $10.00 per class for Classes 1-15 No refunds after closing date, unless veterinarian certificate is provided and ride is sold. Office fee non-refundable after closing date. Stabling refunded less set-up fee of $4.00, unless filled. Late Fee: $10.00 per horse charged for all entries postmarked after 3/8/02 NSF: $10.00 charge on non-sufficient fund checks. Divisions: Adult Open [Over 18] (O), Junior Rider (J) *Final schedule may vary depending on number of entries received. The show committee reserves the right to cancel, combine, or split classes; to change arenas; to limit the number of rides per rider to facilitate the schedule. Management reserves the right to refuse any entry. Directions: Intermountain Veterans Memorial Park (Fairgrounds) is located off of Highway 50 on Orchard Mesa, Grand Junction. Telephone: 256-1531. Enter the show grounds from Highway 50; turn at the Fairgrounds sign, immediately turn left and follow road towards the barns. Minimum Show Attire...Helmet, boots, and clean clothes (gloves and breeches would be nice but are not mandatory). Of Special Note...During wet weather, the facility (including arenas and parking areas) stays relatively dry and free of mud. Each exhibitor shall hold the GVDS "Spring Forward" Dressage Show, its directors, employees, and the Intermountain Veterans Memorial Park harmless for any accident to a spectator, participant, horses, or equipment, which may occur from sickness, fire, theft, or otherwise.
