The 284 Psimolofou Scouts Group is located in Psimolofou just outside Nicosia ,the capital city of Cyprus,an island in the North-East of the Mediterranean Sea, by Greece and the rest of Europe.
The 284 Psimolofou Scouts Group was created in May 1986 when a few people influenced by the spirit of scouting decided to create a Scout Group where children,teenagers and adults living in the area could meet there and understand and live the idea of Scouting.
Since then,the members of the 284 Psimolofou Scouts Group continue their Scouting life and follow the footsteps of Lord Baden Powell who first started the idea and movement of Scouting in the early 1900s,and which first came to Cyprus in 1913.
The 284 Psimolofou Group is located on the top of a green hill ,given to it by the local community and fully used and reformed such as to create the right and the ideal environment for Scouting. One of the first mixed Scout Groups in Cyprus where both boys and girls could join,started making history back in 1986.
