Lower Geyser Basin

White Dome and Great Fountain Geysers

This photograph shows the final stages of a Great Fountain eruption in the foreground and an eruption of White Dome geyser in the background. Both geysers can be seen in the Lower Geyser Basin along Firehole Lake Drive. Predictions for Great Fountain are posted at the Old Faithful Visitor center and, in the summer, at the geyser. While you are waiting for Great Fountain you may see a number of eruptions from White Dome.
