A beautiful veiw of the old coke ovens that can only be veiwed by 4x4 or air, These were built back in the 1800's to make coke from the wood in the area around here as fuel for the stamp mills and foundery's that were abundant in this mining area of Arizona. Today they are just a reminder of the life that used to be all over this area in the desert, there is no trace of the town that used to be near here, unless you look very close to the land and the way it was terraced for the buildings.

Ascending one of many stairsteps out and preparing to pull a Suburban 4x4 over the hump, Have to trade places with the little Zuki to do this. No the Suburban was a stock unit and needed a little help.

This was the 1st obstical on the run. Nice little step up.

This is the basic trail u-joint repair, one of the two Zuki's on the run had a slight problem, broke the rear drive shaft, had to drive out in front wheel drive, good thing it was locked up with 4.56 gears, good news though, that night at camp it got repaired and was ready for the Wood pecker run on Sat.

Down a steep little hill with some good sized steps.
