PLDTMOCI conducted an Exploration Climb and Anniversary Climb on one of the Peaks of Central Luzon. Mt. Natib, standing at 1,253 meters above sea level, is the highest peak in the Bataan Province. This will also serve as PLDTMOCI Batch III's Second Training Climb.

A ferry of Grand Seaway at the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) was boarded on route to Lamao. After taking a jeepney ride from Lamao to Orani, then from Bgy. Tugatog to Bgy. Tala, the jump-off was reached as scheduled in the itinerary .

The trek to 'Kubo ni Mang Gorio' proved to be exhausting, not because of the terrain, but more of the humidity on this particular day. Noticed was a billboard by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources, declaring Mt. Natib as a National Park and a protected area.

Lunch at 'Kubo ni Mang Gorio' was a Gourmet. Lechon Paksiw and Adobo, courtesy of Erlites Ramos and Mater, respectively, were the Main Course. It has been a puzzle to PLDT Mountaineers when several fishes were seen in a small pool near the water source, considering there were no stream or rivers near-by.

After a brief trek on a seemingly wide trail, the assault of the summit was started. Crawling through small openings in bushes, the mountaineers were not aware of the surprise ahead of them, the blood-sucking Limatiks.

Most of the trekkers agree that this particular assault is similar to that of Mt. Apo's Lake Venado to Summit ascent. Several walls were traversed without the aid of ropes, only powered by will and guts.

The 360-degree view from the summit was breathtaking. The areas of Zambales, Bataan and Pampanga can be clearly seen. The campsite was shared with the Group of Unified Backpackers and Trekkers (GUBAT)and other "Chop-Suey" groups.

The following morning, the PLDT Mountaineers decided to break camp earlier than the others to get a head start on the trail. The descent on the walls proved to be more difficult than its ascent. By lunch time, the group was already at the pick-up point in Bgy. Tala.

The contingent of PLDTMC were composed of Noel Farrales, EJ Santos, Mater Crucillo, Erlites Ramos, Odette Lozanta, Manny Caneos, Jonjie Maranan and Mike Salalila.
