Who knew Irishmen could be so
funky?

How can any other band fool themselves into thinking
that they can compare to these guys?

POP, the band's latest effort is, in a word, totally spectacularly
wonderful. Go buy it now. The PopMart World Tour is in full swing,
and you can get lots more info on that
here.
It's amazing how a band can change their musical sound so completely
while the heart of the music remains unchanged. Not many bands can do
that sort of thing well. To paraphrase from an interview after the
first ZooTV show:
MTV: What about the old U2 fans? Will they get it?
BONO: Well I think the true U2 fans will get it. We might lose
some of the pop-kids, but who needs 'em?
This still applies. Give POP a few listens and you can tell
they're the same band. They're still the best in the world at what
they do, which, according to their manager Paul McGuiness is to "get
on stage and make a tremendous noise."
If you trade bootlegs (or want to) take a look at my live U2
collection - I'm always up for a U2 trade. I also have virtually all
of their B sides and rare tracks
