The Wish album was a tough act to follow. Add to that the
departure of Porl Thompson, guitarist, and Boris Williams, drummer.
Most everybody, including Robert Smith, thought the Cure was done.
Luckily, that wasn't the case. They've come back with a new face and
an old face and put out a great album. Not to mention a REALLY great
tour. To be honest, I don't think Jason, the new drummer, has
anything on Boris, but Perry picked up the guitar and he's playing
better than Porl did anyway. And Roger, well, he knows his keyboards.
Then there's Robert. Isn't it easier to count how many instruments he
can't play? Is there anyone else who is cool enough to go onstage in
San Jose wearing a Sharks jersey and sing "Do You Know The Way To San
Jose?"
