Boy Scout Troop 92
Calendar 1995-96

The Troop 92 Calendar is established each year by the Leadership Corp, over a period of time, by means of planning meetings. The Troop plans one weekend outting, usually a campout, on the third weekend of each month.
- October
- Campout to Camp Chesebrough. 20-22 October.
- November 1995
- Annual Parents Meeting. 13 November. 7PM at Milpitas Community Center. Parents are required to attend. We will be approving the Annual Camping Calendar and the Troop By-laws. If you are unable to attend you must contact Patrick Wilson before the meeting. If you don't attend the meeting or contact Mr. Wilson, we will not be able to re-register your Scout. This is the Most Important Meeting of the Year. All Scouts must be represented.
- Angel Island - North part of the San Francisco Bay. 18-19 November. Leave St. Josephs at 9AM Saturday, drive to Tiburon. Ride ferry to Angel Island. Excellent views of San Francisco, Tiburon, Sausalito, Berkeley, and the surrounding area.
- December 1995
- No Troop campout (due to the holidays)
- Junior Leader Training, 8-10 December. Wilson family cabin near Mariposa.
- Christmas Party/Court of Honor. 19 December at Community Center auditorium.
- January 1996
- Two night overnighter to the Saratoga Youth Hostel. 12-14 January. Indoors, bunks. 45 Minute drive. Service Project. Capture the Flag. Annual Chess tournament.
- February 1996
- Operation Deep Freeze at Camp High Sierra. 16-19 February. Outdoors, winter camping techniques. Snow games, skiing possible. 3 1/2 hour drive. All Scouts who want to attend the Deep Freeze must attend the Outdoor Awareness clinic on January 20, 1996.
- March 1996
- Overnight to the USS Pampanito submarine, Sunday 3 March. Cost $12 per person plus the cost of meals (dinner, breakfast, snacks). This is a Pack 92 Webelos event to which Troop 92 is invited on a space available basis. Troop adults must attend. Troop 92 Scouts contact Mr. Berryhill.

All Webelos and Boy Scouts who attend the Pampanito Overnight will receive the Overnight Crew patch.
- Moaning Caverns/Calaveras-Big Trees-Arnold. Two nights, outdoors. Scouts choose among three cave exploration options: General tour $5. Optional rappeling $25 or 3 hour spelunking expedition $55. 3/12 hour drive to Arnold. Webelos Scouts are invited to attend.
- April 1996
- Castle Rock -- Saratoga. 12-14 April. Two nights, backpacking with 3 mile hike to campsite. Rock climbing skills will be emphasized, however other activities will be offered. 75 minute drive.
- May 1996
- Camporeee, location TBA. 17-19 May. Two nights, outdoors. Troop 92 Scouts will have a chance to camp with Scouts from the other troops in the district and compete in a wide range of skill activities. This is a lot of fun. Webelos Scouts are invited to attend.
- June 1996
- Sunset Beach -- 25 miles south of Santa Cruz. 21-23 June. Two nights. This is the Troop's annual beach outing. Reservations are difficult to obtain. Will use Andrew Molera near Big Sur as an alternate. 90 minute drive.
- July 1996
- Camp Cherry Valley -- Santa Catalina Island. The Troop's main event for 1996!!! 27 July - 3 August. Six nights. Wall tents with wooden floors. May bring a cot. Meals at a dining facility. Scouts work primarily with councelors. Will depart for southern California on Saturday morning. Transportation details still to be worked out. Catch ferry to Catalina at long Beach. Secure parking area available. Six hour drive.
- August 1996
- Camp Lotus/American River -- Coloma. 23-25 August. Two nights -- outdoors. White water rafting. Venture activity. 3 hour drive.
- September 1996
- Overnight to the USS Pampanito submarine. 21-22 September. Cost $18 per person plus the cost of meals (dinner, breakfast, snacks). One night, indoors. Sleep aboard actual WWII submarine, carry out duties of the crew, visit Fisherman's Wharf. National Maritime Museum. Webelos Scouts are invited to attend on a space available basis. Pack 92 Webelos Scouts contact Mr. Hendra.
- October 1996
- Brannon Island -- Rio Vista, or the Mountain Man Rendesvous at Boulder Creek. 18-20 October. Two nights, outdoors. Family Campout. Boating and fishing activities. If Mountain Man alternative is selected, this will provide Scouts a chance to learn skills that early trappers used to survive -- using flint and steel, making beef jerky, throwing axes, etc. Webelos Scouts are invited to attend. 60 - 90 minute drive.
- November 1996
- Henry Coe -- Morgan Hill (possible joint activity with a Troop from Monterrey Council. 15-17 November. Two nights. Good oppertunity for Webelos Scouts to join the Troop. Camping and cooking skills. Great place for orienteering. Webelos Scouts are invited to attend. One hour drive.
- December 1996
- No Troop campout (due to the holidays)
- Junior Leader Training Outing site to be announced. Conduct annual traijing for junior leaders and review basic Scout skills.
