What is The Edge Scout Fellowship?

The Edge Scout Fellowship is a group of young adults who are over 18 and who want to give some commitment to the Scout Association. Too this end we have two roles that of:

  1. Providing Support for Scouting locally
  2. Having Fun!

We are based in Hertford District, County town of Hertfordshire, England and are a the younger segment of a larger District Fellowship within Hertford. Often together we help out jointly on service events and sometimes have joint programme activities.

You do not have to have been a member of the Scout Association before to join us, we are willing to take people in from all backgrounds, but mostly we get ex-Venture Scouts and Leaders (both from the Scout and Guide Associations).

We are the very people you should join if you want to stay in touch with the Scouting scene in Hertfordshire, especially if you do not want to take on a leader commitment or you are unable to give much time to your Venture Scout Unit as you are off to university. By being a member of a Fellowship you can continue to be covered under the Scout Assocation's insurance policy whilst doing a wide range of adventurous activities.
