Past Events

The Car rally was excellent on the 12/07/1998, it was just a shame we came last. Still a bigger Edge presence next year will make it an even better event. Our last pub quiz had 11 people turn up, but we still didn’t win! We also handed out important Gathering info! It is worth attending these events!

Bowling

Turn up outside the Hollywood Bowl on Friday the 14/08/1998 at 8.00pm and we will go bowling, where you can see just how bad my wrist action is..

The Absolutely Gigantic Meeting

It has moved to Hertford Heath Scout Hut. It is still on 30/08/1998 at 2.30pm. We are inviting the new ACC down. On the Saturday Afternoon and Sunday morning beforehand we are putting in service at the hut, fixing up some barriers for their bridge, clearing undergrowth and painting the hut. You will be advised what tools to bring later. There is to be a BBQ for Sunday Lunch, before the AGM. Turn up for about 1.00pm (or for the service beforehand) and bring your own beer.

Summer Holiday At Gilwell

 Please read the enclosed letter, but note Gilwell is closer to Chingford, Uggi’s geography is bad! Basically PAY UP QUICK as we have negotiated a line of credit..

Scout Night Hike

It is on the 17/10/1998 at Danemead. We will probably be asked to man a checkpoint or two and to camp out. This should be fairly fun to do! More details when I have them!

XMAS Meal

We have provisionally booked it at the Silver Fox on Saturday 12/12/1998, 8pm. We may be able to sleep over at Hertford Heath Hut. Costs and forms on this to follow!

Lochearnhead

Jo should be sending you a note r.e helping out. We can go, but you need to do something at Lochearnhead! The payment schedule has changed to £50 on 01/10/1998, £50 on 01/12/1998 and £45 on 01/04/1999.

The Account

We have approval for the bank account, it is just a matter of getting it done as Jo doesn’t have any useful ID!
