Once Param Pujya Swami Leela Shahji Maharaj was sitting for his meditation in the evening. He was in a state of samadhi
and blissfully enjoying the sweetness of the spirit.
What remains to attain for the one who has become one with supreme bliss? Even then the saints have a nature to keep contemplating on the inner-self. So he was sitting in the supreme happiness of the soul. At that time a person came & bowed to him. Swamiji opened his eyes & affectionately asked: "Who are you?" "Swami! Keshwananda." (i.e., I am Keshwananda.) The person said so. The name of the SatGuru of Pujya Shri was also Swami Keshwananda. When he heard the name of his reverand SatGuru, his eyes were filled with tears of love. Swamiji was 88 years old at that time, a stage when he had reached the maturity of True Knowledge & the peak of Advaita Vedanta. Even though Pujya Shri had reached the supreme stage where there remains no difference between the Guru & the disciple, at that stage also when Pujya Shri was reminded of his SatGuru, his heart was filled with child like emotions! |
Only on the basis of such love & respect towards Guruji, a disciple is able to understand & digest Gurutva (the state of being a Guru) & himself becomes like the Guru. Salutations to Mother India where such true disciples & true Gurus have been purifying its soil since time immemorial! |
