This is a small and personal selection of all dinghies around. I know there are far more dinghies around. There are three possible causes for a design not being included in this list: 1. I don't like the design; 2. The design is not generally considered suitable for cruising. (that a given dinghy has been used for cruising doesn't mean that in general it is suitable for that purpose!); 3. I don't have enough information on a boat to be able to include it. For instance I. Proctor has designed another great dinghy called "Wanderer" which I would love to include but have no info on at all.
All information refers to the original design. Most dinghies in use for cruising have been adapted, adding dry storage space is for instance not that difficult.
A question mark means that I don't know. Please send me an E-mail if you have missing details or if you have suggestions for additions to this list, both in vertical and horizontal directions.
