Bike of the Month
This month, the Feature bike is: Gary Fisher Tassajara (www.fisherbikes.com)
Fork Manitou Magnum | 80mm Travel
Colors Mettalic Silver | Acid Green
Main Frame 7005 Aluminum
Triangle Frame 7005 Aluminum
Front Derailleur Shimano Deore
Rear Derailleur Shimano LX SGS
I really like the Gary Fisher Tassajara, first of all because it is my bike and second of all because it is such an inexpensive high quality mountain bike. For only $567 you get a very well made bike. The Tassajara has made many upgrades since last years model such as lx rear derailleur, plush lighter weight manitou magnum fork, light and durable bontrager rims and more aggressive tires. I personally like the upgrade from the Rock Shox Jett C to the Monitou Magnum which has 5mm more travel than last years Jett C's. All in all this is a good buy if your a cross country trail rider.

Shock of the Month
This month, the Feature fork is: Marzocchi Bomber, Z2 Bam (www.marzocchi.com)
Travel 80mm +5mm negative travel
Adjustibility Preload, Rebound and Compresion
Oil Semi heavy
Coulor metalic green (op. silver $$)
Weight 3.6 pounds
Other advantiges Disc brake compatible
I really like the Z2 Bam from Marzocchi because of its extreem adjustibilty, (P,R,C) and the high performance oil bath damping system. The one thing this fork has over the othe racing forks Marzocchi makes is the 80mm of travel instead of 70mm with no aditional wieght. It comes stock with this awsome green coulor but you can get it in a polished silver coulor for an aditional price of $50. Marzochi spends most of its time developing forks that are strong, stiff, high performance, durable and plush. The down side to that fact is the high price and the heavy weight.
